This guy rocks 😂 love his care, enthusiasm and encouragement. I am a first- time home owner and am a novice at EVERYTHING. I have paid too much on subpar work and now am feeling motivated and empowered to master more tasks around the house. But I often feel overwhelmed. This channel demystifies stone care and I am appreciative. I love the opening!

Just moved to a new house with stone counter tops and cleaned it with windex. I realized there was a haze after cleaning it. I took a wet rag to rub off the haze and then dried it down with a dry rag. Thanks for the tips so I don’t ruin them in the future.

The contact time of the alcohol with the organism also plays an important role. A 70% solution of alcohol takes more time in evaporation from the surface, increasing the contact time. ... Thus 70% IPA solution in water is more effective than 100% absolute alcohol and have more disinfectant capacity.

Additional tips. 1. Use a "glass stove" cleaner handle for the razor blade to minimize risk of cutting yourself + its easy to keep blade level with even pressure. 2. Mix in a bit of dish soap in the alcohol+water mixture. Not a lot, a teaspoon on a full bottle is suffiicient (use non coloured dish soap if available, especially if granite is of a light colour like white)

Hi, thanks for the informative videos. I have granite in the bathrooms as well as the kitchen. The isopropyl method doesn't seem to cut through the hard water / soap buildup on the countertops, around the faucet knobs. You said don't use vinegar, but would baking soda be okay to try?

Will the alcohol solution work on dragon blue stone? It’s rough and porous. There’s Sheetrock dust on it. Very frustrating. I sealed it many times prior to installing it as the vanity top.. Sheetrock dust still peppered it.

Hi im looking to purchase a black polished granite that is completely black without any speckles or what appears to be faint water marks.Ive looked at several and they all seem to have some faint marks in them.Ive also been told about Indian black and African black which in your opinion would you say is more dense I think what I'm trying to achieve is almost a piano black ,does this exist ??Any help would be appreciated thank you.

Great information and highly appreciated, especially after my paranoid wife gave me a bucket of crap about trying to lightly scrape pizza dough off of the granite surface with a metal dough scraper. It would seem much duller and less intrusive to the granite than a razor blade. Thanks again.
