How often should this maintenance be performed? Also shouldn’t you disconnect the battery first?

I would do that once a year won't hurt , as for the battery you could do that too but I believe for that its not that necessary

Love your videos! I didn't even know the X had a mass air flow sensor and now you are telling me it needs to be cleaned? What the heck does a mass air flow sensor even do?

Hey thank you so much again for the good comments ))) I know there are probably some car gurus that can explain it better but If I am not mistaking the job of mass air flow sensor is to tell a car how much air in coming in so car can add the right fuel to air ratio so the car can run/idle smooth and right )

Sorry to hear that but anything that has ( mass air flow sensor cleaner ) on the bottle should work perhaps you can order it from amazon or some online store ?

Hey man since you're working under the hood and working on that MAF sensor why didn't you just get on with it while you're at it??? You might as well clean the throttle body! Clean it hard and clean it well! Replace the Air Filter with a new one! Or Clean the Air Filter IF you have a K&N dropped in Filter, then check the spark plugs bro! Replace em' IF Necessary. As a Nissan Frontier owner with the same 4.0L V6 VQ-40 Engine I highly recommend installing Oil Catch this mod will maintain the cleanliness of the motor oil and will extend the life of the Engine saving it from wear and tear.

I have a question for you since you have the same frontier I do. Mine is hesitant after I brake or make a left turn. I changed the air filter, the evap, and I cleaned the throttle. I also put fuel injector cleaner in the gas tank. 1- do the 2014 have a gas filter and where is it located and 2- any ideas

I just read an article that fuel injector cleaner you buy at the store is not good because all it does is send the debris to the tank. I’m not an expert but I have always used cleaners like that and now I’m having second thoughts.
