STOP, please get a yard blower, done the job in 2 mins. No need to take to apart, the fans are cheap anyway.

I saw where the rechargeable compressed air dusters are far more effective than a yard blower. They're more precise and effective for electrics & electronics.

the other option is to use an electric leaf blower to blow it out if you dont have an air compressor

Hello. I’m on Day 300 of trying to open this fan. This fan does not open. Don’t waste your time trying to open it. Just clean it with another blower or small vacuum.

I used air to blow the dust out and a wet towel to wipe off any residue left on the casing.

Use a mineral oil like sewing machine oil or fine machine oil like 3in1.
