It’s hot outside. If you’re using fans to cool your house, here is a great hack to clean and keep them clean! Super easy and you will be breathing cleaner air in no time!

I've had my box fans for almost 10 years i clean mine once a month keeps them blowing a nice breeze and extends the life of the fan.. pow!! Bodabiing bodaboom!!

HEY big tip: if you live in a 1950s house with wood windows and they need to be replaced get a air purifier they let in a lot of dust and are not insulated 1percent high heat in winter and lots of cooling in summer cause sun faced walls get hot

I moved to Louisiana this year where the humidity is ridiculous and so to keep my utility bills below $40 I have several space fans. I recently adopted a cat which seems to significantly add to the dust factor now that it's summertime.

DAY-um! You made short work of that dirty ass fan! I have one exactly like that that I just cleaned. It was just as filthy as yours. But my method took a bit longer. In case you got any moisture inside the motor, you might want to add to give it 24 hours to dry off first, then plug it into a GFCI outlet.

They are not cheap anymore due to inflation. My neighbors are like that though. As soon as a fan gets dirty, they throw it outside. Takes weeks before the garbage men even notice it.

Just put your feet on the blades, hold the 2 rods in the middle, then push your feet really hard (Edit: that's how i did it, but there are other ways)

That's if you dont have a 'Hurricane' box fan! Weirdest fan I've ever seen. It's like they sealed it for life! There's 1 lousy screw at the bottom . For what I don't know because you still can't get the screens off! 😤 And it's a good fan too that kicks out a lot of air. But if you can't clean it, thats bad.

You need to unscrew that screw take the tape of the side if their is, then you need to try and pry off the guards on every side and corner it very tricky.
