I feel you. Sometimes I cannot decide wether I prefer more the compact size of the normal N3DS or the better and larger Display in the XL. I ended up deciding which game I play.

impeccable timing on youtube’s recommendations, i have ocd when all of my handhelds have screens full of fingerprints and dust so i always carry a microfibre with me just to clean it and every month i take them apart and clean them too 😂

I am now looking for 3ds on marketplaces and I honestly don't understand why sellers won't do that themselves, it will make their consoles look waay much newer and better

Just got a N2DSXL, N3DSXL and a N3DS from CEX (UK version of Gamestop) and spent the night doing this to them since those things were FILTHY like I honestly don't know what they do to these things in that shop. Luckily all of them are mint condition after a thorough cleaning. Also side note: If you are using 99.99% Isopropyl Alcohol on a DS with a matte finish then do not let it dry completely or rub too harshly as it will remove the paint or stain the area, especially the matte faceplates of the N3DS. Just use it to remove any dirt or marks then wipe off the same area with a damp cloth or surface wipe to prevent damage.

If it was oil or grease it would remove. But in fact the plastic is just worn off there. 😗

Hey! Just got my 3ds LL today. Is there a way to replace the top screen glass lens thing (the one with the border) without disassembling the console? I accidentally peeled off the bottom a little when taking off the last owner's decal and its beem bothering me alot

Yes, I was worried about that too. For cleaning the screen I usually use glasses lens-cleaning fluid, plus using soft paper towels or otherwise any kind of material that won't shed fibers so nothing gets stuck between the screen and the casing. Make sure to spray on the cloth and not the screen, too
