Roberlo makes good stuff. Their best product in their clear line is Kronx 610. This will not work well in a Binks model 7 but works great with a high efficiency gravity gun like a Tekna Pro-lite with a TE20 aircap and a 1.2 or 1.3 tip. Works great in a SATA X5500 RP with a 1.2 or 1.3. Best gun for the Kronx 610 is the Iwata WS400 Supernova with a 1.3mm. Roberlo for your information is from Spain.

We use their products at work. The b500 is a universal hardener, for primers. Their cleats have separate hardeners from very slow to fast. The global 6000 probably the best clear they make. And you can rub it the next day. We have had some issue where if you lay it on really thick it gets some die back issues. But yeah their stuff is really good.

Saw the Binks #7 siphon feed gun. Those are great guns. I have one. I use it for all my automotive paint projects. That gun atomizes paint like no one's business. Lays down paint very good. The one I use was bought in 1982 and I still use it today. I bought a second one a couple years ago for parts at a swap meet.

Have you ever done a hardness test on these clear coats after they have truly hardened. Hit a high solid ppg product with a wooden, rubber or steel mallet and show the results after you have pulled and polished the area. I have never used the product you are using in this video but I have used ppg products and was always impressed with how tough and the abuse it would take.

A lot of people are commenting about Tamco and I would really like to see you give it a try sometime too. I think their flagship clear is the 2104 which they also have a slower version of (2105) for hot and humid climates. They also have a 2021 which I believe is their version of PPGs 2021. Anyway, a small American company out of Virginia, check em out. The Roberlo clear looks great, might be worth sticking with but it’s always fun trying different stuff. I started using Tamco this week, so far only two small jobs, I used their 2 hour clear (7600-I don’t have a booth) and I’m pretty impressed.

Henry Ford used “Varnish” too, as long a you wanted a high gloss black. Other colors available in 30 years. (Just having fun) Urethane binders are mostly all the same, it is the man made additives they add or leave out, that makes the product. I have a buddy from high school who worked on coatings for nuclear submarines as they where under the water for a year or much longer, if needed. It’s like “Anti-Fouling” coatings at the waterline on boats. It acts like an “Exfoliant”. Algae and Barnacles can reduce to speeds by 12% per hundred foot. Best of luck.

The best paint job is one big run. Heavy and wet which is what these guns do. Hvlp, which I use and learned on, is meant to save paint and be more efficient with less air. Binks makes some of the best products out there. They still have the best polyurethane foam gun 30 years later. Your comment is the same as telling Eric Clapton he would preform better with a newer acoustic than his favorite. It’s a tool, no more no less, that preforms as well as the person using it.
