Ive ridden down that trail so many times and never thought about climbing it! Nice work!

Haha. Thanks we don’t really recommend climbing it as it is a DH trail, but it presented some great challenges! Haha.

Climbing on a emtb is what sold me on it . Was surprised how challenging and fun it can be.

It's our favorite part of eBike riding too! And the extra downhills...

I like these types of videos very informative and helpful and that marzocchi white fork is killer cool 😎 I really would love to own ebike one day

Thank you we’re glad you enjoyed it and found it helpful. we also really like the white fork on this bike!

Ebikes are ok. While they climb well, the extra weight when you are descending just isn't as much fun as a non ebike. I have both, and find myself using my non ebike much more than my ebike. The climbs do suck lol.

Great tips, i would never get an e-bike , since the big gut accompanies an E-bike

This was great help for me! MTBr ~18 years, prefer tech - embarrassed to admit I never heard/saw anyone lower seat on a climb. I ride e and non e bike, e bike has taught me keep pedaling, and you'll make it which is what you were saying, I was classic eh, I'm not going to make it. Thanks for this, lots of helpful advice I can't wait to try. ✌

This is a good video, my only wish is that it was done with emtb and mtb as it would be interesting to see the difference between the approach for both on the same spots.

Good idea! We’ll work on a regular MTB version soon

Cant wait to finish converting my N7 to an e bike. I think technical uphills will be easier on a bike than they ever were on a dirt bike.

Fit is the most important, shorter cranks if needed, but by far is the appropriate stack or handlebar height. I went from a 20 to a 35mm rise handlebar on my ripley. I climb and descend better. It’s all about weight distribution and center of mass. Going to a smaller shock token gave me that perfect blend of resistance and traction

Nice!! That's great feedback and thanks for sharing.

How do you determine appropriate stack or handlebar height? I don’t feel confident because I don’t feel in good control. I’ve even considered going to 27.5 to maybe help
@mike-b4h4d11 ай бұрын
@@jasongressett for me, going higher on my handlebar rise put my weight square on the bottom bracket for the downhill also, I climbed better due to a more comfortable position. If you have 20mm ride bars, try 35

Step one: buy an emtb

Haha. It certainly helps but we’ve been surprised every time we take friend who are very solid riders out and then we show them trails we climb up and they just can’t unlock it… that was actually what inspired this video! Their frustration as good riders not being able to get up features fueled this video. Haha.

Or buy a CYC for your current bike... But that takes skills some might not have too.

100 percent easier to climb with a e bike. yea the tips here are great but to climb tech well you need lungs/cardio/power or e bike

Number 1 problen with my ebike is to find the right tire for climbing

It makes a huge difference! Especially in loose conditions and very steep terrain.

While we’ll never say never to a good time in two wheels, our current preference for twisting throttles is on petrol powered motorcycles.

For avoiding pedal strikes. I was climbing a switchback a few years ago and was barely moving. I had a pedal strike that knocked me over and I put my knee with soft pads into a sharp rock. Found out a few months later I severed 40% of my patellar tendon. 3 year rehab

Sorry Loam Wolf but I’m no longer going to be watching your channel due to all the mopeds. I love bicycles, and motorcycles, but not motorized bicycles. You’ve lost me forever.
