Patrick, I am actually selling something that won't cost the client any money. I'm selling unwell people their health back through a benefit of their existing insurance. They cannot believe there isn't a catch. I can't seem to get past that. People don't believe that they are getting something for nothing (because it's included in something they already pay for). My major sales challenge is usually at the end of the call during closing my prospects say I need to check with my family/anyone close to them... So how do I handle that? What if they want to but because someone else said no, they will not be going ahead with me...
@patrickdang3 жыл бұрын
Ideally you want to set up another meeting with them, the person they have to talk to, and YOURSELF. You want to be the one selling the product/services to the other person and not the prospect you're calling. You can try "Let's set up a meeting with you, [the person they want to talk to] and I'll be there to answer any questions you may have. etc."
@karlshorb38112 жыл бұрын
@@patrickdang No. Sorry respectfully disagree. IDEALLY you want to qualify your lead/prospect at THE BEGINNING of the call not the end of it. This is Sales 101. This prevents you from wasting your time/ getting your hopes up/ pitching non-buyers / getting negged out / etc. by qualifying them at the beginning after your warm-up. A buyer doesn't mind being qualified. Only non-buyers get offended/upset at qualifying questions ( your welcome). And personally, in my sales industry , we have found the "partner" objection or "wife/husband" objection is a b.s. objection used simply by some buyers/leads as a tool to not buy today/ blow you off without buying. Overcome this by asking, upfront at beginning of call, if all decision-makers and partners are on board with this project? ESPECIALLY THE WIFE/HUBBY. And do they need to talk to them before making a decision here today or do they already have their blessing to move forward without speaking to them if they find right product at the right price...if they need to talk to a partner before deciding either you are about to get stroked or do your job as a closer and get the other person on the hone. Not tomorrow. not later today. Now. And give lead an incentive or benefit o get partner on board now. Ultimately, They are not buying without partner ...if can't get em on phone now blow them of nicely yelling them to cal back when they get partners blessing/ on board and move on to next lead. You would be amazed at how many leads using the "partner" objection turn out to be straight strokes/ shoppers/ non-buyers. Finally, Muskan: just bc you overcame lead about their partner the doesn't mean this lead doesn't sill have another or several more objections ready to use on you to not buy today. Qualify correctly and right after: hit em with a spbq ( If/Would scenario) right between the eyes. Good luck and don't get discouraged...youre asking how to get better/ overcome objections so obviously you are on the right path/ can be a closer.

thanks for the video and tips! how would you act differently if you are a technology startup selling a pilot project to evaluate the value for the customer - so he understands the potential vs the "pain" of not having it now
@patrickdang4 жыл бұрын
I would actually take the same approach. Ask questions the probe into what pains your prospect may be experiencing. Once that's established, get the prospect to talk about what their ideal situation looks like. At that point, I would then pitch your startup's solution on how you can solve their pain and get them to their ideal situation.
