Since I ran out of space in the description, here's a list of console commands I used to make this video: - no_target: makes demons passive - g_infiniteammo 1: makes ammo infinite (duh) - g_damagescalealltoai 0: makes enemies immune to damage (can still be hard faltered though) - com_adaptiveTickMaxHz x: sets the framerate to x - chrispy ai/...: spawns the desired ai, for example chrispy ai/superheavy/marauder

Some of these require that only cheats be unlocked, some are injected commands, and some are exclusive to a mod called meath00k.

LISTEN: most of the techniques in this video are complicated and require precise inputs while only marginally increasing your dps. Unless if you're a speedrunner or attempting really hard mods, you don't have to learn any of this stuff. Doom Eternal isn't just about dps, it is more about having good movement, resource management, map knowledge, prioritizing enemies etc. Besides, in the heat of the battle you might not have the opportunity to perform these techniques. Generally for anything that requires quick reactions with little time to think, such as a fast paced arena shooter, simple is the way to go. Therefore in my opinion is it not worth the time to learn these techniques even for the hardcore players. I have more than 200 hours in the game and I beat the base campaign, 2 DLCs, all master levels on ultra nightmare, and I didn't use any techniques in this video. All you need is the basic combos PB-SSG, PB-rocket, PB-Ballista and remember to use your equipment. Honestly the most important tip for Ultra nightmare is to simply memorize the spawns and be familiar with the suit tokens and secrets locations. With that being said, I have the utmost respect to Sylar and everyone in the community who discovered all these complicated tech and figured out the intricacies then took time to master them. There is an argument to be made that learning these techniques are fun and they are the award in of itself, which I agree to some extent. I'm not telling you that you shouldn't do these combos, if you think they're stylish and cool then by all means do them. It's just that they're not practical for the majority of player. tl;dr you probably don't need to learn the techniques in this video

This video is not named "How to beat ultranightmare", there are several guides on yt for that. Am I supposed not to do a tech video because the tech is "hard"? I'm basically just providing an index of stuff you can look into if you're interested. I was intrigued by fast swapping the first time I saw a TAG1 speedrun and I could barely do ballista-ssg. Then I went deeper and deeper starting from that. Anyone can do it, with time, and I don't see anything wrong with it. Beating UN is not all there is, if it was I would have stopped long ago

Do you know how to unlock console commands? if no, you need to download the eternal mod injector and run it, even once. Then you can access console with \ and type the commands you need. I have a problem though: it's hard for me to do the SDBLADE, so here are two questions for ya: a. do i have to let go the primary when firing the ballista? b. is it easier at a low frame rate? i can do SLOB on command but i can't achieve SDBLADE half the times🤪.

@@SHEU-by3kt I'm not sure you need to let go of primary honestly, if it's like SLOB probably not. The reason you can't do it consistently is because of framerate yes, it's better to cap it at 30 or similar. Or you could just skip all the framerate techniques - main reason I have them here is because they aren't discussed anywhere, but it's not really something players should learn how to do

How important do you think it is to change your key-binds from time to time ? Currently my key binds make it really unintuitive to do pb sticky punch swap combos, I'm considering changing my binds but it feels so awkward after so many hours.

Originally I was also working on clips like that but I felt like they didn't fit in. Still have a couple of them though: kzbin.info/www/bejne/ZnvZopaoqs6CgJY You just gotta practise a bit to see how many swaps you can fit in between meathooks. Then if you time correctly both jumps and dashes you can at least do 3-links (it means 3 hooks). It is possible to do 4 or maybe even 5 links by ballista boosting on top of enemies or even by landing on their heads

I do double shot a lot but for some reason it's really inconsistent and sometimes either refuses to work even when swapping the right mods... ...or sometimes the game won't even register me swapping the mod in general. ....or sometimes it'll create super glitched slow delayed animations and sometimes do a super delayed double shot. Idk why the double shot is so glitchy...but idk EVERYTHING in this game is super glitchy so I guess it's to be expected.

I don't really use the tech, but I was having similar issues at first. Try to be slow with the inputs. For example I often found myself releasing alt fire before closing the wheel, which is a mistake

It's frame perfect and very inconsistent at high fps, which is why Sylar is showcasing it at 30. You fire the pb, swap to ballista, fire again and immediately hold RMB to charge the dblade. I find the standalone one to be a bit more reliable on higher fps, but not by much.

It's really hard to get on a decent framerate, sadly. I'm hoping we will find a way to untie those frame swaps from fps, that would be huge. it's still very interesting on its own, because it shows cool how similar rocket launcher and ballista are in the game
