Back in the days my instructor told me: make sure you have enough space around you to escape danger. Good advice is still follow after all these years. What i taught myself was: anything on 4 wheels is out there to kill me so i don't trust cars and try to avoid em as much as possible.Lanesplitting? Not for me, unless i have to. I try to come home every day in one piece because there is always another day to ride. Stay safe ya'll and keep the rubber side down.

I was going about 20kph (12 mph?) practicing my counter steering when gravel happened and the bike decided I wasn’t supposed to ride it. Kevlar in the jeans saved my skin, armours saved my kneecap and hip from anything other than a bruised ego. Bike was fine, I was fine but that is 170% because of armour and gear. Man, just wear your gear. And for the love of all that is holy, drink non-alcoholic beer if you’re riding. No one cares what’s in your bottle.

Thank you I really opreciate the advice. I just got my first back a ninja 400 and I love it. I first took the MSF course before even buying the bike and I’m glad I did. It’s advice like this that has already prevented me from making small mistakes that lead to even worse outcomes. Thank you very much.

All solid tips, all of which I’ve been practicing since teen yrs & I’m 61. I ride an 05 Superglide & a 14 GSX-R 750 which I ride on street & track. Everything you mentioned is spot on & will save your life. Some of the insane riding I see on KZbin just for views is mind blowing & for me hard to watch as I have lost a couple riding buddies who just had no self control. I’ve never been down & hope to keep it that way, awesome vid & new sub here from Philadelphia, Pa, stay safe!

100%. Absolutely great stuff here. T-CLOCS and ATGATT! You said it. Love it. Buy the best protection you can afford. Helmets are crucial component, and surprisingly many folks wear a improperly fitted helmet. Too large. Thank you for the refresher. Awesome! Ride safe and often.

If you don't have a bike you are 100% safe from a biking accident. Having a bike is another story, 100% concentration helps.
