this is brilliant thanks mate. Trying to set up my own kit at the moment. I have a thru box like yours and a midi cable leading out to the daw. My question is when the music is being recorded in the daw does it record the instruments as separate channels for editing or is it all combined thanks buddy

A bit late here but you have to set up individual audio tracks in your daw and turn on monitoring if you wanted to record separate tracks.

Typically, you run the audio out the hardware synths, drum machines and sound modules etc. into a mixer, and then monitors / speakers are plugged into the mixer
