FYI [2021 Toyota 4Runner] The USB is never recognized, using iPod Classic and the aux/USB port. This video does not provide any solution for that. Anyone can read the on-screen menus once it is recognized, ppfftt.

Tried to plug in my old ipod nano, it says searching iPod... then nothing, will not let it play.

Doesn't recognize on newer vehicles. Going to try to update the software on mine and see if it helps. Really disappointing from Toyota here.

But how do you disconnect/eject the ipod. There must be a sequence of steps to follow because just pulling the cable out messed up my ipod.

Sorry..My Ipod Classic in my 23 4 Runner plays sometimes,but will show a song playing with timer counting down but no sound..Worked Great in my 16 Tacoma..Wth is Toyota doing here.

Just for the record in the new 2023 the USB ports are not functional for connecting an IPod and you don't have navigation system either
