How To Connect Sky Box For BEST PICTURE & Sound

This video shows you how to connect your Sky box to your TV for the best possible picture & sound.
The same process can be used for connecting other types of equipment like DVD players, Bluray players & games consoles.
The connections tested are RF aerial connection, phono RCA connection, SCART lead and a HDMI cable, watch the video to see which one was best.

Never went into the optical or 75ohm rca outputs. I cannot get any of them to work on any of my sky boxes. Unfortunately the one box I want to use the optical on doesn’t even have rca sound outputs. Any idea why that Gould be?

Hi. I'm making an enquiry so I can watch freeview through my basic sky box. There is a connection on my Samsung t.v, which is a HDMI and on the sky box it has the words RS232 which looks a little like HDMI but it's narrower & two seperate pin holes on either side of the main holes. What cable connection can I get & what is it called so I can watch freeview through sky box please. Can anyone have an answer?

Hello mate. Normally I do not comment on youtube videos but I feel compelled to write a few words here. The only thing that I come away with from watchinng this is a massive state of confusion. Did you make this to inform us, or just to watch yourself on the channel? You have 2 coax cables connected and not a word about them. SCART is not used anymore, as is AV. The SAT in and HDMI port is what connect the TV. The USB can be used for external HD for playback and recordings. You know Google has a few videos on how to produce good quality youtube content..hint hint

Is it Sky+ or Sky Plus HD? If it's Sky+ it's most likely a loose Scart lead. If it's Sky+HD, it's difficult to say, have you got any headphones connected?
