How to Connect the Weebill S to the Sony A7siii with FULL Camera Funtions

Just chiming in the correct cable is the *Micro* USB to the USB-C. The Weebill's connection is the Micro USB and the others (type C, multi) are the camera connections. Thanks for the helpful vid.

Just came across your video - wanted to connect my Sony RXVII to my old Weebill S - for me, the trick was to set the camera model in the Weevil selection menu to Nikon. sounded strange, but works perfectly - I can start/stop recording, adjust aperture and manual focus in the camera.

I have the A7IV. I tried your solution and everything works but the record button. The most important thing! So I thought it is because I have the 7iV, but I realized you didn’t demonstrate your record button works the A7SIII either?

No, the record button works fine on mine. Not sure why yours in not working. Sorry, I don’t have a a7IV

I am trying it with the A74 and it worked with any USB cable but somehow what is not working is the record button from the gimbal. It is pretty weird. If I press the rec button from the Camera, then I can stop the recording by pressing the rec button from the gimbal. but it wont start recording. I already tried desactivating Rec with the Shutter and it didn't make any difference. Any ideas? this is driving me nuts. I can move all the parameters from the gimbal but not start a recording.

Many thanks for the video. I’m still a bit confused. You repeatedly refer to a multi USB cable. Do you mean a micro USB cable? Or maybe they have different names on different sides of the Atlantic? Either way, Even having changed over, my gimbal shows the tick mark to say it’s connected but the camera sticks at a message ‘Connecting to usb mass storage’ and gets stuck there. Firmware is up to date on both. Any ideas? EDIT Answering my own question above, the cable is indeed a micro USB and the missing step appears to be, Turn Off Control with Smartphone and ensure USB connection is blank, then it works, almost magically. Sorry, the fx30 recently came out and this gimbal is showing it’s age. It may not have the support or firmware update to work with newer cameras

Yes i have the latest firmware, but finally i can connect them, by changing FX3 setting in to (PC connect : on) 😁 But next problem is, the latest firmware can't save settings properly (wheels : high / standard /low)
