In this video I show the two ways that can be used to connect an e-drum set to a computer. Either via Line level output or a MIDI connection. Thanks for Watching!

Hello, nice to say hello! I want to ask you a question: Is it possible to download the sample bank to a computer? Thank you for the attention you can give me.
@Bearvswolf Жыл бұрын
If you mean download the sounds off the drum module to a computer I dont think so. You can use all sorts of different sounds once you connect to your computer via USB/Midi though.

Just hook it up like u do a guitar. Be cool if one could record the cymbals and drums on separate tracks, but record them at the same time. Like one track just has the highs and the other has the lows
@Bearvswolf2 ай бұрын
Depends on your drums. My efnote kit can most definitely do that👍

Hi. How do you set the hi-hat pedal. I don't think it has an assigned midi signal to it. Thanks
@Bearvswolf8 ай бұрын
Do you mean in your DAW? Many plugins have assigned mapping. You can usually change them in settings. Addictive Drums has a map for “roland drumset” or something like that. That is probably what you need.

Bit of a silly question but where do i plug in the "midi in" on the cable? Can i just plug in the "Midi out" on my drumset and the USB on my pc?
@Bearvswolf Жыл бұрын
If your drums have a USB type connector then yes just plug straight in to your pc. If the “midi out” of your drums looks like a circle with 5 little holes then you need an adapter to change that to usb. I use a Mio Connect device for that.

If so, how do you connect it to your pc

Can I just connect the "MIDI out" on a Roland TD-10 V drums into the "MIDI in" on my Focusrite Scarlett 18i20 interface and go from there?
@Bearvswolf Жыл бұрын
If you want to use the drum sounds in your computer/DAW then, Yes. If you want to use the sounds in your TD-10 then you need to use an instrument cable. Or two, if you want it to be stereo.
@riczarro6805 Жыл бұрын
@@Bearvswolf thank you! I'm new to this so bare with me. If I want the TD-10s sounds I use instrument cables that I understand, so what I get are all the drums into a single or stereo track in my Daw, but If I want control of the individual drums I should use the USB into the Daw to a Vi instrument like BFD drums?
@Bearvswolf Жыл бұрын
Yep. Using some sort of instrument/midi track will get you a stereo midi kit. You can control everything via the plugin instrument of choice. If you want say 8 separate trax with each drum on its own track you break out the kit to 8 sep aux/midi tracks. Each brand (slate, addictive drums) etc has its own way of doing that. Some are easier than others. I am not familiar w BFD. But I am guessing it can do that and there will be a video here somewhere on how to do it. Addictive and slate I can verify definitely can.

how can i set up my titan 50 so that when i play in a game people can hear what i am playing through my microphone or just hear the drums? please help
@Bearvswolf9 ай бұрын
Titan 50 has about all the connections I mentioned in the Vid. Depends what you are connecting to. If straight to your computer then I would use the USB. If you have an interface you could use the Line outs.

@@Bearvswolf i have the usb connected from my computer directly to the kit but when i have the simmons 50 line as my input for the mic nothing plays so im guessing thats not how it works
@Bearvswolf9 ай бұрын
@@dmc8410 the line out is carrying an analog signal. Like a guitar cable. USB is digital so it may only be carrying the midi information. Sometimes it will carry audio too but not always. So if you connect your kit to your computer w USB you may need a virtual drum kit in the computer to use the sounds. Garage band, logic, pro tools would all have one of these.
@frankbruno7966 ай бұрын
So I was wondering if you NEED a drum pad or do you only need a pc
@Bearvswolf6 ай бұрын
Depends what you want to do. The sounds are in the computer via slate drums, addictive drums, etc. so if you just want to put drums in a recording you can use those plugins. If you want to be able to hit something…you need drum pads. Or a kit.

Hello, thank you for the help, I also would like to know how do I play along with other song on my computer or if there is an app or software that I can download in my computer that is going to brake down the different instruments in the song, and one more thing, I have to have a DAW, right? What DAW do you suggest?
@Bearvswolf11 ай бұрын
The easiest way to play to a song is to use the auxiliary (aux) input on your edrums. Assuming that is what you mean. It should just be a cable to connect your phone/tablet/computer to your kit then jam away. If you want to record all of that then yes you need to use a computer. In terms of DAW - i like pro tools and logic pro. But lots of people use reaper/studio one/ cubase etc.
