I'm pretty sure you can use the Arccos app in "Tournament Mode" which takes away some of the functionality to make it USGA legal.

@@dbharwood7500 Arccos Caddie can be used in competitions when rangefinders are allowed. To comply, the Arccos Caddie app must be toggled to “Tournament Mode,” which turns off the live display of elevation. To enable tournament mode, navigate to settings in the Arccos Caddie app. Toggle Tournament Mode on to conform to the rules of golf.

“Coach” the chrome soft range is just great. No need to strive for the ‘all new’ or “longest & softest” just provide some interesting pattern options and you have brand loyalty. I’ve used Arccos for years. If weather is not windy I rarely pull out of my pocket. If it’s windy I use for adjusted distances and my game in windy conditions have improved. The new strokes gained stats are unbelievable.

I've been using Arccos for a few years, but have never used the caddie feature, preferring the Skycaddie GPS instead. This has had the unsightly effect of me wearing the iPhone in a holster on my right hip, and the Skycaddie SX500 on my left hip, making me look like "Two-Gun Giuseppe," gunning for the sheriff. I recently switched over to the Shotscope watch while waiting for the Arccos Link (arriving tomorrow), which will mean no more phone on my person.

I kind of enjoy the odd windy here in the state of Kansas it can get very windy where the flags are standing straight out and buzzing. I do have a honest question not a criticism. Why don’t you hit lower shots that stay below the tree line and take some of the edge off the wind? Instead of trying to hit a cut or draw against the wind. I am also curious about the cart you are pushing around.

The Arccos app has a tournament mode you can turn on that turns off the "plays like" distances and only gives pure GPS numbers. You can also still use your phone to text, do instagram, etc while playing and using Arccos.

What's the durability of the Arcoss like? I had the MyGolf which was a great idea, but I was constantly replacing the sensors. They would just stop working. Gave up on it in the end.

"coach" by 1 - Mark I am interested in how you find the arccos in relation to putting and the functionality of using the phone vs the link. I found it a little clunky with using the phone all the time, where it seems like shotscope is a much more streamlined way to go.
