Did you have to go out of your way in the Magic Home app to connect to their cloud server? I purchased 3 smart RGBW controllers and they work great on wifi, but I cannot get them to connect to the server which means no Google assistant, no IFTTT, etc

Hi, I did everything you did. But my colors doesn’t match what I’ve asked. So if I ask green he gives me blue ish. If I ask yellow he gives me green. In the app the colors works perfect with the color wheel. What could be the problem?

Sad that they don't work this way any longer, they are now requiring registration with no more local control without internet. Legislation needs to be written to prevent this silliness of devolving the applications removing local only control.

It should, its connected to your Wi-Fi and the app so it should automatically send a signal and connect. Kinda like Bluetooth headsets

Not at the moment, You can use the app to access white by turning on all three LEDs at the same time.

FYI- ALEXA won't be able to control the effects though i.e. JUMP, STROBE GRADUAL & MUSIC PLAYER. For example. & other stuff. It'll only control the minor basics. Just letting you know what others in their vids NOT telling y'all.

You do. The voice control is only coming from being able to tell Google or Alexa "how" to control the app.

So you need an Alexa or Google home speaker to control the app, and do you need multiple wifi connectors for each RGB light strip you have?...I bought all my RGB lights at different times and have like 5 separate remotes 😵‍💫

This unit allows you to use Alexa or Google. That's the main purpose of the controller. The app will work without either of those.

I understand. If they are all the same brand they may all work with one app. If they are all different you may need to do more research. Maybe there is a generic app that can bluetooth to all of them at the same time? I'm not sure.

Here is an off the wall question. I have a home bar, that is Hockey related. I want to be able to push a button (when my team scores) that makes the LED's behind my TV that are blue to flash RED a couple times then go back to a solid blue, While also triggering a cheer sound to play over my speakers in the ceiling. Problem is I don't know how to make either of these work even without a button. Any ideas? Currently I only run Google, no hubs so I don't know if this is even an option. Any thoughts?

My only thoughts would be a different strand of lights that flashed red and turned off. The cheer sound would also probably be a separate thing as well. I'll look around and see if I can find some solution options for this. Great ideas though!

u need to add led amplifier to amplify the electrical current. as 12 volt won't run that far on the led strip.

I believe this is just something you setup within the Alexa system. Categorize your lights as Bedroom and then "turn the bedroom off" works.

Unplug and plug the device back in 4 times. You will see the LEDs turn Red.

All the effects are dependent on the LEDs connected. In the case of the ones shown in this video, they cannot.

Bruh I don’t what I did but I was laughing in my room and my led lights stared to change colour every sound I made. I would talk and the colour would change like every vowel I made. I yelled out colours but it just did random colours and I don’t know what happened or how to change it back like that again

Sound activated control. this is good for loud music if the settings are properly configured. Then they can automatically change on the beat. Configure settings in the app.

You have to go to the alexa/ google home app and add the magic home or whatever app you use to connect the leds to your phone into there, then you can use alexa/Google home to contr your lights
