Does anyone know what the length is of the Carisma shocks?
@RatsnRods2 жыл бұрын
I wonder if any of the different style hot racing shocks would screw into the top of the carismas
@ThatParadiseEj12 жыл бұрын
I'm doubtful. They're such a strange size and thread. Much smaller that the universal sizes available not.
@anthonyrojas97914 жыл бұрын
Also do you know of any larger type of shock that can utilize the eyelets just as you did? By the way, great video sir!

How did you do the dual spring setup on the shocks with hot racing parts or is it a single spring stretched?
@ThatParadiseEj14 жыл бұрын
It's another set of springs above the adjuster

They're usually out of stock. You need to keep an eye out
@MrPinedo203 жыл бұрын
Has anyone else tried this? Its a great idea but it won't tighten up enough with heat shink. Unless I'm doing something wrong I can pull it apart fairly easily and I can imagine during actual use the shock top will come off. I was really looking forward to using this technique...
@ThatParadiseEj13 жыл бұрын
Maybe the shrink tube you're using is a bit thinner than mine. Although. I will say that I could pull them apart by hand also but not easily enough to where they've fallen apart during use. Use some super glue if you're too worried. Or you could use some teflon tape on the threads first
@ConditionZero763 жыл бұрын
why not use the Carisma spring? why use the factory springs?

Thank you so much, i hope with very heavy weight oil, it will not leak 👍😎 did you try it? You saved me 24$ of shapeways SCX24 Carisma shock eyelet adapter 😝🐒
@ThatParadiseEj14 жыл бұрын
No problem! Turns out they won't leak if you turn them upside down like the directions say. I'd use teflon tape on each side of the heat shrink. Good luck!

If I remember correctly there are two stiff. If you're not looking for a ton of flex I'm sure you could run them but it might be pretty bouncy
