I understand a lot of people clean their meat with vinegar or they cook with it, and by all means that your choice! But please understand vinegar does not kill bacteria and it is recommend not to clean with vinegar. You can look it up on Google so please do not come to this channel saying that vinegar is the proper way because it’s not.!

A good way to clean your chitterlings is to use lemon juice that is still in lemon juice and you you let the chitterlings sit in lemon juice for 20 minutes resume again and then also while you cooking your chitlins you put in the water one white potato and one whole onion I'm going to cook with the chitterlings that will help installed the odor of the chitterlings

Hey there Rhonda, my first time on your platform and I must say that your voice is very warm and welcoming. If I may suggest to you to add a few capfuls of vinegar, it definitely tenderizes the meat. One large potato and one large onion 🧅 this will definitely help with the smell 👃 of the shitlings
@KeepingupwiththeJoneses68Ай бұрын
@@vanessakelly7022 thank you for your advice, and I am fully aware of putting vinegar and a potato with the onion and my chitterlings, but I must say that particular day I made that particular video for a person who did not care to have the vinegar and I myself did not have the onion.So yes once again thank you so much for the reminder.

@Cooking with Mrs Joneses ; I'm happy that you enjoyed the comment. A discount grocer in my area had #10 size cans of "mixed greens" for 85¢ (must puchase a minimum of six). They were said to be from a "nationwide buffet chain". In the freezer section, they had "flash frozen diced smoked sausage, ham hocks, and "cubed, double-smoked pork (shoulder) butts". My grandmother used to seperate the meat from the greens, cut the meat into the perfectly sized cubes, add half bact into the pot to "cook some more", then sauté the rest of the meat with both types of sesame seeds, butter, chickpea flour, and a touch of brandy. Guess what I'll be chowing down on tomorrow??

That was a small pot and I cook those approximately two and a half hours. With the medium pot maybe four hours at most but it's very important to put a little meat tenderizer in there at least I do.

Marinate overnight in a ziplock bag with an entire bottle of cheap Italian salad dressing. When ready to cook them during the dressing and the flavors will have penetrated the chitterlings. If someone comes in no one will have any idea you are cooking chitterlings is there is no smell whatsoever! I went into a restaurant that serves chitterlings once and I had to leave it smelled so bad!
