Bok choy is easy to grow. Full adult takes about 6 weeks. Using baby bok choy takes a fraction of that. Nothing beats home grown and you can grow them in containers. If you keep the bottom stalk intact while harvesting the Bok choy will regrow without having to replant. This recipe is awesome!! I'll try it! Now I put bean sprouts in just about everything as those are easy to root and grow too. I love cooked small tofu squares -- high in protein and very tasty! It should go well with this Bok choy stir fry.

Thank you so much for this video! I recently found a recipe for seared scallops with orange/ginger sauce. I was looking for a vegetable dish to pair, and this looks PERFECT! I was thinking about possibly tweaking/adding a couple of ingredients to bridge the flavor profiles, but I can tell your recipe is LEGIT as is! Served with some steamed jasmine rice!!!... I'll be sure to let you know how it all tested! I'm excited! Cheers to YOU, CHEF!!

@@CookingwiththeCoias Thank you so much, Chef! I ended up adjusting your recipe to add some mushrooms I didn't want to waste. The Bok choy was Amazing!! As for the scallops... The power to my burner shut off on me after I finished placing them down on the pan to sear😭. I didn't see it at first, but I was counting the seconds to 90... then 120. The scallops were stuck to the pan🤢. I thought I could save the sauce, but my heating issues persisted and my sauce turned out extremely bitter. I wondered if I zested my orange and lemon too early. I'll give it another try again next week. Cheers, Chef!

I disagree, sir unfortunately, I believe that is referred to here in the states as baby Pak Choy or Shanghai Choi Even though my fellow brother in here would probably disagree since most of the grocery stores it’s available at do refer it as bok choi or choy as the spelling differs from region to region and social groups. Regardless to any of that, I did enjoy the video. The recipe that you display here was quite excellent and full of flavor. Keep up the good work. Kindest regards.

Garlic should never be your first ingredient it gets bitter with fried too long. That said I was happy to see the ingredients you used.
@deborahallen2833 Жыл бұрын
Garlic IS the first ingredient. You have to flavor the olive oil. That's the whole point of the garlic. Both Italian and Asian cooking flavor the oil first. That's not burnt. If you aren't able to control the temperature, slice the garlic thinly and remove it after flavoring the oil and before it burns.

This bok Choy is overcooked; you can tell by the color of the bok choy n also it looks a bit soggy. No need to cook them for so long which also causes the nutrients to be cooked out. You can just cook them w some oil w a little ginger n salt for about 5 minutes add a tablespoon of water towards the end of cooking time.
