I love how you literally got dolled up, went to the store and made yourself clam pasta just like that. It's oddly motivating. ❤️

looks great! One important tip...never put oil into your pasta water. Not only does it not keep the pasta from sticking but it inhibits the pasta from absorbing the sauce. So, salty water (should taste like the ocean) and no oil in the water.

I can’t believe I haven’t followed you in so long. You made me laugh so much here. I’m so proud to see you’re doing videos still.. I was dying when you said you didn’t make enough pasta and poured it in the pan ahahhahaha! I’m glad to be subbed again . Mama sparkles

I went to Canada and wow, you guys are so lucky to have the most amazing seafood. From different species of wild salmon through impossibly giant oysters to scallops that DON'T LOSE 80% BY WATER AS YOU FRY THEM! (as they do in Australia ☹) Oh my. Enjoy, Canadians!

Your grocery store experience - they took your temperature! 😳 That was intense! Also, my grocery store does not have fresh clams in a beautiful waterfall with live seafood in aquariums! Wow! That's FRESH. I would feel so much more comfortable with cooking seafood if it was that fresh in my area! I don't live near an ocean though, maybe that's the difference??

as an italian that's buonissimo! the only thing i have a complaint about is the cooking of the pasta. you let the water boil and then you put the spaghetti, but the olive oil is useless as it doesn't mix with water and will just depositate on the bottom. also salt will make the boiling point of the water higher, which means that the pasta will either cook more slowly or come out a little raw. hence if you want my opinion, let the water boil, then at the last minute of cooking the pasta you can put the salt in, and if you want it oily just put it on the clams' pan or just raw on your finished dish as well (depending on your taste, raw oil is more fresh and tasty). this is so long sorry 🥺 love u joules

Right - and there are few things as bad as overcooked spaghetti. And 10 minutes cooking time! That's bad enough. Isn't the average time 8? 9 minutes in the North of Italy and 7 on Sicily?

Congratulations for the video, and for the spaghetti, I am Italian and I would like to give you some advice: 1 in primis) the lupins have to purge because they have to release some sand just put them in water and salt 1) put some garlic in the pot and cut it in half and remove the core so it becomes more digestible, you can add it as well the stalks of the pezzemolo that bring freshness or rinse it and poach it, then the pot where you put the garlic is fine. 2) for lupins: when they open, it is fine, when they are opened IMMEDIATELY, the levers from the pontoon dry up, you throw them closed, take them off and put them in a bowl, you can shell them or not. 3) the juice of the lupins pour it with a filter into a pot so that you can remove all the sand in the liquid 4) clean the pot and put the oil and garlic back on, fry it a little and take the pot out of the heat 5) for the pot you can take a nice spaghetti see cooking: Ex 10 minutes of cooking what do you do: prepare a tall pan, fill it halfway, boil the water, add the salt and then immediately put the spaghetti 7) you remember what we did at number 4 well when the pasta arrives that 8 minutes of cooking you put them in the pot and you put the liquid of the lupins / clams, so you cook them in the pan for the last 2 minutes for a total of 10 minutes COMPLETE 8) cut the parsley and spread it over the pasta, pay attention that the parsley burns in contact with the oil and becomes very bitter Here is the dish I suggest you try the calamarata with cherry tomatoes and the Roman specialty: gricia and carbonara (please not the pancetta but the GUANCIALE) I link you to an Italian channel of a chef who also has English subtitles active in the videos :kzbin.info/www/bejne/hmevnJhriraFhpo

OMG you said pasta like an Italian! There is a goddess! Also yeah, nobody wants to go dow.... er, eat a sandy clam! ;) You did amazing and it looks bomb! Three things to make it go a little easier next time; My Italian aunt said 'you can't drown pasta' meaning the bigger the pot and the more water the better (also make the water taste as salty as the ocean). Two put a damp kitchen towel or even a damp paper towel under your cutting board so it doesn't move around under your knife and fingers. Third hold knife by pinching it between your thumb and forefinger then wrap your other three fingers around the handle, this will give you the most control of the blade. Buon appitito mia sorella, la mia amica! 💕💕
