Cooking fried rice is easy, tasty and with a wide margin of error.
You may wonder why I make a video for such a simple recipe in great detail.
There is a catch!
Most Asian restaurants prepare fried rice with high power stove that generates intense heat, which is essential to produce excellent fried rice. However, most people do not have the luxury to have it in your comfy home.
While home stove cannot reproduce the dramatic inferno of wok stove, this post will show you how to dish out the fried rice at par with any Chinese restaurant at home without generating roaring heat in your kitchen
Don't forget to click the link below to read the ten time-tested fried rice techniques that will transform you into an expert.
These tips will elevate the humble fried rice to the next level, and turn it into a culinary wonder.

You are really a great teacher. I love the way you take the time to explain all the little details. I tried your veg stir fry recipe. Absolutely awesome!! I'm looking forward to trying your fried rice recipe. I am Indian and would really like to have a taste of Chinese cuisine now and then. Thanks a lot Linda (South Africa)

The last time I made fried rice it was better than the time before and I used the same ingredients, chicken and shrimp. I even woke up in the middle of the night to sounds of my wife getting some more.😊

Yes. Frying the rice creates 'wok hei', which means wok aroma as a result of the heat. Try to fry in small batches if your stove is small.

I have found its best to scramble the egg separately in a non stick pan, (need virtually no oil) Then once the rice is ready throw in the egg.... Otherwise you get egg sticking to the wok and then find yourself scratching bits of egg off the bottom....

I searched for a fried rice recipe and finally found yours. Very happy to learn from an expert. So many other recipes recommended butter, some even sugar. Most wanted spring onions sautéed. I learned from Uncle Roger that chili jam was not to be used in fried rice. I made steamed rice last night and letting it sit for cooking tonight. The only departure from your recipe is I’m including flash fried Brussels sprout leaves at the end. Or maybe I’ll serve them in the side.
