Really? #@thebestcornrowbraidingtutorial, Wow, there are so many cornrow braiding videos done by African women, that are easy to follow and the braiding is far more precise and clean. Now he did a great job, but as far as completely neat and clean there's better. I'm sure even he knows that. The fact is its hilarious that when anyone of European descent (White etc,) does a skill like cornrow braiding that was invented by our African ancestors and was despised by Whites, Europeans etc, all of a sudden when they learn it, it's amazing and you hear these types of comments. I'm speaking simply to this fact and it really rakes my coals. For the rest, great job to him for showing how to cornrow and actually getting involved in our forms of braiding.

OMG!! I FINALLY understand the difference between cornrows and Dutch braids, I just kept seeing people say they were the same thing or that cornrows are just smaller, but when you look at someone with two big cornrows compared to someone with two large dutch braids it looks different. And it makes sense that it's about how much hair you're pulling in at a time that's why cornrows show scalp and Dutch braids don't when your pulling in a ton of hair at a time it doesn't give any room for the scalp to show OMG thank you!

I just wanted to let you know that you are the one that taught me how to French braid my daughters hair. We both have wavy hair that loves to fly away. She loves when I braid her hair before bed because she has beach waves for school. My question is are there any other style of braids that would give her the same look that isn’t a French braid. I always have to make sure her hair doesn’t do a crazy split the next day from where it was braided in two braids the night before.

You could do individual braids as well, and just make sure you don’t use neat partings, that way you get waves, without the bold part lines 😊👍🏽❤️

nice to see another guy that can kainrow (in london we say kainrow lol) i was just practising adding X-pressions to the braids. definetly true what you said about over thinking it. xc

+Jaime Germanotta thanks! Some people in the states refer to it the same way, but they spell it differently, like "Canerow". I totally know what you mean though, there aren't many men with the learned ability to do it. Thanks so much for watching!

GlamFam yeah so true! even all the male hairdressers over here cannot braid for shi*!!! but it just comes naturally to me now! i find doing afro hair so much more fun than just straight hair :) thanks for replying xx

+Jaime Germanotta that's awesome! I don't know many male hairstylists here and several of the ones I know are not amazing braiders, so I know what you mean! I love doing all types of hair, it keeps me on my toes!

Oh my gawd I find you so funny. I’m white and appreciate that the hair you’ve used is straighter. When trying to learn most teachers use curly hair and I haven’t been able to learn. My granddaughter has thick blonde hair almost to her knees and wants to have cornrows around her ears. This is perfect. You rock.
@jazmynbrown68203 жыл бұрын
Hair texture shouldn’t matter. The technique applies to all hair types… and when you say “curly,” just say you meant black hair.

This was such a great tutorial!! It answered SO many questions I had floating around in my head as to *why* particular issues kept popping up with my braiding technique. Not only specifically related to conrowing either. As a matter of fact, I rarely cornrow at all! But your tutorial explained so much about why hair acts and reacts the way it does with respect to the direction of the braid, amount of hair included in the braid, thickness of the braid, etc. that it carried over into general knowledge of just how to handle hair braiding.. I hope you're a well paid teacher in this area because you truly deserve to be. I learned so much about so much from this 1 video alone! :)

I love the multi-culturalism of braids! Braided hair is a very big part of Native American culture! Indian braids draw on natural elements and bringing those natural elements to adorn the hair
@maddiehall53174 жыл бұрын
Jessica X I don’t think you understand that rachelle did not call native Americans “Indian” , he’s just talking about Indian braids.

I, appreciate someone with a very nice manicure working on my head. Do you know how painful raggedy nails are when they're snagging on hair? Lol. No thanks. I don't know how to cornrow, but I believe I can do this. Thank you. I'm sure scalps are happy with your skills.

This was super interesting to watch! I love the look of tight, neat, clean braids like this. I was wondering how you finished off the loose end of the braid? How does it not unravel? Is it just that the end of the braid has so little hair at that point (because it's so tapered off) and the stiching is so tight that no elastic is required?
@GetGlamFam7 жыл бұрын
+Li deK most of the time you would tie it off with a rubber band or hair elastic. I just didn't show that in this video, my apologies dear! Thanks for watching!

i am new to corn rows and braiding perios. Just watching this video alone has been helpful in having tighter braids without them being hurtful. Are there any tips for cornrow braiding your own hair?
@GetGlamFam7 жыл бұрын
+marilyn miller to me, the hardest part of braiding your own is getting the part lines right! I would recommend having someone who can see the back of your head help you with parting. Outside of that, get ready for an arm workout baby because braiding your own hair will have those arms BURNIN! Lol Thanks so much for watching dear!

Out of all the videos I've spent countless hours watching, your videos really helped me understand what I should of been doing. You said if you think about how much hair to pick up you'll pick too much up. But I was doing just dutch braids all this time. Thanks to you I understand. 👏👏

My 2 youngest daughter's are biracial and everybody says they have that good hair but I don't use anything in it because they don't like it and they like to wash they're hair every day. But my 10 year old has hair almost past her bum. This helped a lot.

Thank you! This tutorial, especially pointing out how cornrows differ from just miniature dutch braids, helped me so much in figuring out why all my attempts to include them in my own hairstyles have failed so badly in the past :) And I know it's silly but seeing the technique demonstrated on hair that looks and acts more like mine than many other tutorials use really helped convince me that braiding like this is achievable as part of my own styles if I keep working at it.
