Glad you got the foot and are enjoying using it. I really need to do a whole project with mine. A great way to use up funky yarn too.

Hi Kim , thanks for taking the time to post . Much appreciated. I was wondering if there is Janome foot to fit my Janome Quilters companion 6123. It is around 20 years old , but still going strong , a bit like me really though a great deal older than 20!!!! Try 74 !!! . Any comments welcomed . Cheers Pat nz

Glad to hear that you are still going strong, Pat! I'm not familiar with this model so I'm not sure (I'm not a Janome retailer) but I would check with your local Janome dealer to see if there is one. You can also sometimes get generic feet that will work on a Janome machine so that might be an option too.

Can I sunset you invest in a WOOL WINDER for the yarn when coughing and it will flow continuously while using your machine. Hope this helps with counting. Love your tutorials.

Hi Carole: As I'm not a knitter, I haven't seen a wool winder before! Yes, I can see how this would help when couching to keep the yarn from getting all tangled up on the quilt top. Thanks for the suggestion :)

Can I use this foot semi industrial Janome that does just straight stitches?
@Chatterboxquilts3 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure about this - I'm not a Janome dealer so I suggest that you contact your local dealer to find out.

Me too. Let me know if you come up with any suggestions. I have only done some stippling with my stash of some old yarn to get use to the the rhythm needed to ensure the yarn gets caught by the needle/thread.

Definitely a good idea to do some practising first to get the feel and rhythm of this accessory. I think it would be great to do some flowers or big designs. Will give it some thought and add it to my video to do list :)

The Couching Foot part number in Canada is 202110006. I have added this information to the description area under the video.

Does it work on janome 6700P?
@Chatterboxquilts Жыл бұрын
I'm not sure as I don't have that Janome machine. I would check with your local Janome retailer to see if there is a couching accessory for that model.
@Chatterboxquilts8 ай бұрын
If you are able to get this attachment for that machine, it will work. There are different accessories for different Janome models. Check with your local retailer for help in getting the appropriate one for your machine.

Kim, I have a question for you. I have the same machine that you do, and was wondering if the cording foot and the couching foot do the same thing? I have the cording foot, is it necessary to have the couching foot as well? Thanks for any help you can give me.
@Chatterboxquilts7 жыл бұрын
Hi Molly: Yes and no. The cording foot is meant to stitch down one to three thin cords or ribbons. It isn't used to attach yarn as this is too thick to fit into the "holder" on the foot. It does sort of couch the cords, but can only be used with thin ones. The couching foot has a hole in it that you feed yarn through and then can stitch over it to tack it down. It is like free motion quilting with yarn! To see more about the differences, check out this blogpost by Janome Canada at janomelife.wordpress.com/2014/04/25/and-here-are-more-janome-feet-you-can-use-for-couching/

hi..pls reply...is there couching foot for janome 450e
@Chatterboxquilts7 жыл бұрын
Hi! I doubt that this would work for any embroidery machine model as it isn't set up to stitch like a regular sewing machine. I would check with your local Janome dealer for information on this.

I WOULD LOVE TO LEARN HOW TO ATTACH A ZIPPER AND DO BUTTONHOLES ON THE JANOME 8900. THANKS SO MUCH FOR ALL YOUR GREAT VIDEOS.

So would I, Toni :) I'm a quilter, not a seamstress, so I haven't investigated this on the machine yet. I'll add this to my list of items to check out on the Janome 8900. Thanks for the idea, Toni.
