Thank you Laura, your video on paying off a mortgage actually motivated me enough to attempt to make changes, but its pretty overwhelming trying to figure out my numbers and how to change everything about how and where I pay my bills.

Hello Laura, can you do a video on paying off a car loan smartly?
@themichaellindell7 жыл бұрын
Hi Laura - in a past vid you spoke on paying off a home in 5 years using a credit card. I’m curious if the same principal should or can be applied using a secured credit card. I was thinking of adding funds to my secure card but was sure if it’s worth it to do considering I’m paying interest on my own money. Please share your thoughts. Thanks!

I only created a budget one time and it was when I was out of state in college. I managed to survive on 9K , and 12K a year, respectably on my last two years in 2005-2006. I rejected anything that meant I had to pay to get in and had more than a few ramen noodles as well.

Hey ..I hope you are having a wonderful day... I do have another question/suggestion for another video...it is better to save money to buy a (new) car in cash .or it is a way of borrowing money from the bank that will not take all your money away
@laurapitko64046 жыл бұрын
There are a few strategies, if you pay cash you will capture all of the interest savings, however you can purchase your car now and use the velocity banking strategy to pay it off quickly and still save on interest. There is no way to borrow money with out having to pay interest you can get a 0% introductory rate on some products which you can take advantage off, but that introductory rate is only for a short amount of time.

Hello, there are some expenses that needs available money in the checking account so we cannot take all the income and send it to line credit. Also, i have 3 cc that i use regularly but end up paying only the minimum due, is it safe for my credit score to transfer 2 of my cc into one credit card? and pay just one card more than minimum?
@laurapitko64046 жыл бұрын
Hi thank you for your question, you will still deposit your monthly check into your checking account then as soon as you do you will move that money into your line of credit account in my video that line of credit is a credit card for this strategy to work one has to move their entire monthly income, to pay loan payments via credit card one option is to link the credit card as overdraft protection to your checking however not all banks allow you to do this if your bank does not than you can utilize other financial tools like paypal or another line of credit account like a home equity line of credit or a personal/business line of credit. Generally creditors want to see 50% or less utilization ratios on the credit cards, so if you transfer all 3 credit card balance on 1 card the debt to income ratio will remain the same but your utilization on your credit card will go up, but every month since you will be depositing your entire monthly income towards it that utilization ratio will bounce around, this strategy will allow you to eliminate debt with speed, the first couple of month your utilization will be above that 50% which may bring your score down, so prior to implementing consider what your financial situation is and what will work best for you in what you wish to achieve, best to consult a competent financial professional to evaluate the outcomes for your financial situation. All the best.

would or do u advise people with specific numbers, with their actual income, using the line of credit method?
@laurapitko64046 жыл бұрын
Hi Marcos, there are a lot of different approaches you can take with the use of a line of credit I do not know your specific number, but a line of credit can be powerful and which ever line of credit would work best for you would depend on your financial situation. What I mean by that is you can use a credit card as in my video or you can use a personal line of credit or a home equity line of credit, it all depends on what you can get from your bank and also it is not so much about how much you make/ month in net income, but rather what your cash flow is left at the end of the month, I am going to be putting out another video going into more detail.

Your video how to pay off home mortgage in 5-7 years does not explain the total amount of interest will be paid at the rate of 21% each month on the credit card balance (in your example it was: $12,000 minus $5,000=$7000) of $7,000 will be? That component seems to be missing, unless I missed or did not understand the concept fully.

@OnlyMyOpinion6 жыл бұрын
michelle pastorek if you haven't been able to solve this problem yet, you might try this. Contact your credit card company and ask them to send you a couple of credit card checks. They use to do this years ago and I'm pretty sure they still will. Simply right the check to your mortgage company as a principal payment. If that doesn't work, write the other check to yourself and deposit it to your bank account and then write a check from your personal account to your mortgage company. Good Luck and never give up!
@laurapitko64046 жыл бұрын
If there are fees your bank is charging you then look into getting a personal line of credit or a home equity line of credit account as those accounts act like checking accounts.
