It's an algerian accessoires The love knot was originated when algerian sailors and their loved ones would use a piece of rope to tie knots that would remind the sailor of his loved one back home 🇩🇿🇩🇿🇩🇿

Thanks. Very helpful tutorial! I'm a complete beginner in this technique. I followed your instructions and succeeded. It's very beautiful! I have a question: is it necessary to use 2 links for connection in the very end? Just 1 will be too fragile?
@FireMountainGems Жыл бұрын
It would depend on the weight/size of the knot, and the gauge of the jumpring. Two rings gives it a little more security, but you could try it with one and see how secure it is. Thanks for watching!

What size jump rings is Susan using to make the single jump ring earrings?
@FireMountainGems Жыл бұрын
Susan is using large jump rings. She didn't specify a size as the size of the jump ring determines the size of the knot. Using smaller jump rings would create a smaller knot and using larger jump rings would create a larger knot. The size is dependant upon your preference.

What is the AR that is recommended for this knot?
@FireMountainGems7 жыл бұрын
Great question! According to Sue's book, the knots in this project are made with 20-gauge 5mm ID rings. Using our Aspect Ratio formula from the article Everything You Need to Know About Jumprings (bit.ly/2lLWybw), we get an AR of 6.1. Hope that helps!

Large rings isn't enough information...I need the gauge, type of metal and ID size
@firemountaingemscustomerse77628 жыл бұрын
Hello Mark. This chainmaille Love Knot video instructs how to accomplish the technique, so the size of jumprings or type of material you use is really dependent on what size you want the finished piece to look like and what material you want to use. That's why we don't specify a size, gauge or material type.

Hi Mark :-) I measured on the screen using a caliper, lateral on the first ring. It gave 1:10 relation, ballpark

+2n nhys even 1 to eleven could be right.

We don't recommend measuring an item on a monitor as monitor settings can vary.

the relation between thickness of the thread and diameter of a round ring can be deducted, even if the image is oval. (short side + long side)/2= diameter. Tryk it ☺
