Alexis, I am older and I have been cynical of young people who try to pass themselves off as having a depth and insight that I am prone to believe only comes with time. You appear young enough to be my daughter, but I was inspired by everything you said, and I learned something from you today. Rock on young lady, rock on....... I too, am a teacher and I think you have the Midas Touch!!! Be who you be!!!!

If you are younger, you can easily be more talented in the particular field of wisdom than an older person _and_ possibly have spend more time actually thinking interacting with the subject, which really does not make it a stretch that they are wiser than an older person. Also, there is IQ differences that might (or might not be) in favor of the younger person, which more easily speeds up the process of becoming wiser.

Hi! Can you do a video going deeper on how to find that passion? I’ve been thinking about starting a side hustle for almost 10 years. Imagine where I’d be I had done it back then 🤦🏼‍♀️ one of the things stopping me is that I can’t decide what to do. I thought about being a KZbinr, writing a book, selling on Etsy or Amazon, coaching and many other things. I just like everything and don’t know what to focus on

Hey Alexis! I found your channel after your how to set goals instead of systems video and I’ve watched every video since! This is my favorite one yet, and I know I will coming back to watch it again and again! The advice you give is so actionable and you make it seem so attainable to implement. I love the part where you said you write down your goals everyday so it’s always in your mind. And where you said that we should start off devoting one hour a day in the morning so we can make our projects a priority. It’s really great advice! I would love if you could make a video about the mindset of how to bounce back after a setback. Like when you have a habit and you start and quit, how to get back into it and how to make sure it doesn’t happen again.

Alexis, Love this acronym. FAIL, in my 60+ years of life, I have never heard. On reflection of hearing the analogy of look at it as stepping stones to success. My thoughts are that on the journey to success you will be walking on a path of stepping stones. And you may lose your balance and fall (fail) off the first, second or even the third stone. But, that you just have to pick yourself up and get right back on and continue the journey. Keep up the good work it’s great! Thanks.

You are amazing. Great content. Very useful advice. Great to hear your example of how you begin, and the logic you use to break down everything. I enjoy the way you structure and chunk things down. I would love to hear you talking about mindset topics and structured thinking as well, in case you haven't already since I am new on your channel since yesterday, but enjoying every video.

I'm an INFP who is selling products on Amazon. First started importing from China which was quite scary due to the amount of money involved as I have to buy a lot of units. I didn't manage my money very well and ended up having to borrow from family. There were a lot of expenses I didn't know about even although I had a coach. Sometimes you don't know what you don't know. Also, Amazon is so fast paced that every time I would look I'd find more and more competitors who were coming in with a much lower price. I still seem to be surviving however have now started to make bundles from products I source locally. For example I might have an oven cleaning bundle with various brushes, cloths etc. I find there is a lot less financial layout in this business model and it make me feel more comfortable. If I have a hunch a bundle will do well I just launch it and then learn from the process. Trying not to over think.

I love how in a few minutes you explain things deeply but clearly, with no need for flashy visual aids as we’re used to from other KZbinrs. (And I don’t mean that in a bad way for either of you). Your ability to get to the core and in a simple way is definitely your strong suit and it shows. You’re doing excellent work. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

it's crazy that these are things i've recently realized the hard way, that maybe i would have questioned if i heard them in the past, but they've come at just the right time for me to really structure myself, my hustle. i've started a professional organizing business, which has a connection to my past / the environment i grew up in. then it was difficult to think of my minimum steps, even though i already have some things in motion like a website and a few jobs, but then it became clear and i found a place nearby i could go for an hour if i felt it necessary, in the morning (because you're right- after some days it's like, wooah what da hek ... i want pizza and a movie). next is sorting & scheduling on a weekly basis. and i loved the quote, and all the rest. thank you so much! aaaah *rainbows*

The quote from Theodore Roosevelt you provided in the video really resonated with me because I totally know what it feels like to be in both places, "the man in the area" and "the critic" in the same field of expertise I work in. I do illustrations and making comics and animation, it's a skill I've always wanted to be good at since I was little, and it's fascinating to experience all these years how much one can learn when they allow themselves to fail, therefore opening up reasons to experiment with the feedback they get from their failed attempts, compared to learning from someone else's mistakes and failures by being this critic. There really is something valuable about having gone through the hard work that will never be taken away no matter how much one sucks at the start, or even along the way. And yes, like mentioned in the videos, certain qualities on top of the skill a person will hone that makes them better people. My mom had always told me and my brothers this persistence to keep trying despite failures for the sake of experience and how that transforms us into someone better, and she still reminds that of us today. The more time goes on, the more that lesson proves true, and this is why I like your productivity videos too because it mirrors these lessons one way or another.

As a side hustle, I'm a performer, I do stage shows, just to drop an example. Also, I wanted to add, this is not about a side hustle, but. When you were talking about life 20 years down the line, it reminded me, that ever since I was a kid, I wanted to be a dancer. I never went for it, because of various reasons. Now, 20 years later, i'm pushing 30, and the desire is still there, and I wish I would have gone for it back when I was 8. I can still go for it now, in fact, I am planning to. But it's true, if you feel a nudge towards something, follow it. Because 20 years down the line, you're gonna wish you did.

Hi Alexis, I've been watching for a little bit and I was watching your Myer Briggs videos. I'm a INTJ and of course I plan! I'm a 2nd grade teacher (for now) and I use to give music lessons as my side hustle. When the shut downs occurred, I lost that income. So I'm developing a mindset and productivity channel and coaching privately. You provide great content and you are an inspiration. Thank you

Hi Alexis, I recently found your channel when I was looking over the new year for advice on how best to plan my time. I'm a freelance designer who's trying to become a full time author. My books sell pretty much everyday so I know I have marketable products, it's getting them to sell at a scale where I can pay my bills that's the tricky part. Love your content. You have helped me so much. I'm going to try your pomodoro day plan for my day job and see if it speeds up my work rate. Thank you!

Wow, Thank you. I am an ENFJ. I love this video. I want to be a Mindfulness and yoga instructor. I am working on KZbin video's and am in the middle of interviews to ask people about what they want, and struggle with. I want to be able to understand where I can help. ❤ I want it so much, Alexis. I wish my dream may finaly come true after 6 years of hard work. ❤ Is anyone else here in the same position? I want it to connect to my own story. Because I've been through a lot when it comes to Personality theory, Enneagram etc... If anyone wants to take part in the research, let me know in a reaction. I was receiving my 1st compliment on how my meditation video calms them down before sleep, how they enjoy my Meditation voice and how they want that audio on repeat 😊. I wish I knew more about how to connect better with all people similar to me, when I was in the position that I was in 10+ years ago. I have a few spots left in my research. I am interviewing 20 people at this point and surveyd 60 people. ❤ I wish everyone well on their own journey with side hussles 🎉.

It’s funny. People think that 10,000hrs later and they’ll be a master at something. But first they actually have to find something that they’re willing to spend that much time on, something they’re passionate about. There’s people who go to college and everything, they get their 10,000hrs of work, but still don’t care enough to have mastered their skills. They’re not even at the point that a passionate person achieves at 1,000hrs.

I’ve been doing this for the past 5 years, it can make lots of money if you do it right and blow up on social media. However, there are a lot of complexities involved with real life things (warehousing, employment, order fulfillment, etc.) We do the manufacturing too so that adds even more complexity haha I like working with real stuff but overall I’d rather get out of it, personally
