In this video I will show you how to adjust the camera in third person template. So that it looks more like the standard 3rd person camera that you can see in many AAA games. Specifically we will be focusing on "replicating" how camera looks in Witcher 3 Wild Hunt but you can apply this to any kind of game you want.

You can also use camera lag to zoom out. Quite simple and convenient. Plus all transitions become smoother

Nice, I needed the first part of changing the camera a bit to the right, I like how it looks. That was easy! Is adding crosshair where the linetrace will hit easy as well?

Oh yeah that's super easy you can check this video kzbin.info/www/bejne/j2Oae3t4p6tkg5o the first part is basically the same as this video although worse. But in the second part I do the crosshair for interaction. And you can just input your own crosshair image into it if you don't want just a square.

Hi, so you could definetly make it scale with the speed of your player. There is number of ways to go about it, either through the walking speed which is in the character movement component. Or if you have some kind of "rpg stats" type system you could use that aswell.

hi, how can I activate zoom only when I run?

Hi, so if you follow the tutorial exactly then the zoom should activate only if you hold down your shift, or any event you connect it to. If you want to make sure the character is actually moving/running before you do the zoom. A good place to start would be to get your characters velocity and check if it is greater than 0. Depending on your set up you might also have some kind of a varibale like IsRunning? that gets set to true when running/sprinting. So you could use something like that aswell.

Which asset character model is that?

The character model is base unreal engine mannequin. The armor is from Unreal Engine Marketplace the asset pack is called: ROG Modular Medieval Accessories and Robes
