This type of composition (4 uneven quadrants) is a favorite of mine. 👍 As I am working in an art journal, I am going to use this video as inspiration for another page (11). Gabrielle…I am very pleased to have discovered you. I am wanting to do abstracts in watercolour. Following acrylic abstracts, looking for another creative process. I have all my supplies… I chose watercolour pencils, hoping they will work well., and I have good quality watercolour pads. Thank you for sharing your lovely watercolour canvas. Hi Leslie ☺️ Thank you for your kindness! I used the following pens and markers: Elegant Writer marker, 2 mm! Black fountain pen by Pilot, Black fine tip pen by Pentel Slicci (0.25mm) and White pen (Uniball Signo). The gold metallic paint is Star Gold by Kremer Pigmente. It’s my absolute favorite metallic watercolor paint!

I am so happy I came across your channel!! I love intuitive watercolor so much!! Do you stretch your paper? What do you have your paper taped to? It looks like glass or acrylic. Thank you for sharing your time, energy and creativity with us!!

Hi Barbara 😊 thank you for your kind words! I do not generally stretch my paper. Instead, I use a heavier weight watercolor paper and I tape it down to a piece of plexiglass or to my work surface. Since I don’t remove the tape until the paper is completely dry, I often don’t have any issues with warping. When it does happen, I can fix the issue with an iron or by wetting the back of the paper, weighing down and letting it dry overnight. I hope this helps! Thank you for reaching out ☺️
