I immediately fell in love with how in depth this game is but I must admit that I know nothing about farming.. I mean.. Absolutely love these videos! Thank you! One thing I want to note: Subsoilers (without mods, even though that was stated otherwise at 1:05) do not create new fields. I just purchased the same subsoiler and it does not have an option to create new fields.

I use the plow, then to square it off, i use the landscaper to paint the area around it. (Never knew about the subsoiler...)

There is a create field mod for console that allows us to use the flexi coil & all the others to. The lizzard 6m is still my favorite. I play on PS4.

Can you merge fields? If I have a map and want to convert two small fields into one bigger, can I just plow the area between them? Or will the hired helpers interpret it like two separate fields even though there is no space between them?

To answer my own question: yes, the helpers treat them as one field. But on the map they are displayed as two separate.

You can flip the plow to get into the corners, it isn't perfect and takes some effort to get it right but it can be done.

How do I find the cultivator mod? There's too many to search through. What is the proper name of that mod? Subsoilers do not create fields without a mod installed. There is a mod for consoles I completely forgot about, sorry... It adds modded versions of the in game cultivators, etc so you can make fields with them. It only works with the Cultivator Create Fields mod, which means it is PC only. If you don't have that mod, or you are on console, it won't work to create fields. If you have that mod, then you just need to hit Y to Allow create fields and lower it, then it will dig into the ground and start creating a field right away.

Hey Farmer Cop, I have a question about how grass grows. How long does grass take to grow back after you use the roller or place an animal pen?

Same growth rate as regular crops, actual time varies depends on growth settings in the menu. If you use a roller or place a building and the ground looks "smooth" but has the green background grass has it will not grow back, you have to repaint grass on

The Big Bud is one of many mods made by GIANTS Software. I don’t consider any mods made by the original developers of their game to be “mods”, but rather free DLC… Also an edit in the description correcting yourself about subsoilers only working with a mod would be appreciated.

There is also Big Bud mod that was not created by Giants Software. They did add the big bud pack after the mod came out.

I believe theres a thing called a roller and it takes away plowed land

If you want it exactly as it was before, paint the edges around the field and pat of the field with grass, then using easy dev controls go to adjust field state (I have a video on doing this) and then set the field to cultivated using that and it will be essentially reset, hopefully this helps, otherwise just paint or use a roller to fix it, IF you are on console the easy dev trick DOES NOT work

I know how to do this on ps4, but I struggle to get 90° corners lol, the ai helpers struggle is it's not a good corner.

I often will use the landscape tool to make the fields perfect as it operates at 90 degree angles or when making the fields just watch your coordinates on the mini map and make sure you are starting at 90, 180, 270, etc and going up or down ina straight line staying on that coordinate

I do not have a PS4, but to make fields on PS4 either use a plow or download a field creator pack which is in the modhub for free, and it has cultivators as a part of it that are able to create fields.
