I have been searching KZbin and various websites just to get a basic understanding of EQ and although some websites provide good information it’s not the same as having someone talk about specific frequencies in great detail as well as recommend plug ins. Sage Audio surpasses everyone on KZbin (that I’ve seen) for describing and explaining frequencies and bass and sub are my worst enemies when it comes to mixing and EQuing and this was just so helpful. Thank you so much for this video!

Incredibly well put. All the respect guys. Really. I wish there were more SUB or BASS focus plugins either free or affordable. Waves did a great job for focusing on this niche. Also they have Submarine which is insane.

@@sageaudio ❤hello sage audio, I heard some of the featured song demos on your website tho, I feel a bit of harshness of a mastered audio compared to the original & there's no a bit of lowend, but I believe that its called clarity, which is so great. But I hope soon, If I'll send my track to be mastered by yours, it'll not be a bit harsh. This is just a bit concern, especially this song is my cover of Drivers License (a popular song today), & I wanted it to feel a bit cold on the track cuz its a sad song. 🔺I'll just tell you, or comment again on your next video if I already sent my track on your website🔺 Much love tho cuz you're videos always helped me in my mixes & on masters! Like really (I'll just truly practice more on master by just watching ur videos over & over again), but for now, I think I'll send my track on your website cuz I truly TRUST YOU❤ You are the best Sage Audio in the entire music mastering industry💌 _Sincerely yours_ _your biggest fan_ _& who always commenting_ Have a great journey this year!💌 Cuz I trusted you, lets just wait till 100k subs🤞 I hope we'll grow above & above 🙏💌

Can I ask you a quesiton? How to control the dynamic of your mix? What's the best number to shoot for? Thanks.
@sageaudio
@sageaudio 3 жыл бұрын
Hey Kev! It'll really depend on the dynamics of the track you're working on. Some tracks don't require further dynamic control, whereas other will. Compressors, de-essers for sibilance, and limiters are the typical dynamics processors to use. That said, there's no exact number to shoot for. SageAudio.com

I was watching a tutorial from Luca Pretolesi and he spoke about cutting side information at 200. Im curious about what you guys think because I thought this was pretty high. Do you recommend generally a range at which you cut side info from the sub ?
@sageaudio
@sageaudio 3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching and leaving a comment! 200 seems a little high, 130 is about as high as I go, but it does depend on what you're working on I guess. Maybe he was working on something that required that? But I'm not entirely sure. SageAudio.com

Those would be octaves. Harmonic series first has the fundamental. 2nd there's one octave above the fundamental. And after that there's actually a fifth + octave above the fundamental.
@jyryhalonen4990
@jyryhalonen4990 3 жыл бұрын
And yeah the octave + 5th interval from 30hz is the 90hz. After the fifth there is indeed another octave so the 120hz exists too

Hi SeptemberWalk, Thanks for the comment! Yes, all mastering is done in person by hand - for Free Previews, we often master a bit hotter to meet common commercial loudness standards; however, we're always happy to master more dynamically and often prefer to master this way whenever it's preferred. Please feel free to send us a message in your Sage Audio account (in the Messages section) requesting a remaster focused on retaining dynamics, and we'll take care of it and send a new master version for review as soon as possible. Thanks! SageAudio.com
