What a great video! It introduces and encourages us to use the SWAM technology to emulate existing traditional instruments and, I hope, explore possibilities for new instrumental sounds and textures. I agree that the background music was a bit overdone, I think it was there to set the musical context, illustrating the instrument’s traditional use and playing style. How about a competition to create a ‘new’ instrument sound using an existing SWAM Instrument as a starting point? By the way the User Interface Design (UX) of the SWAM instrument is a beautiful example of clarity, simplicity, consistency and utility, bravo!!!

Swam gang, u should make many presets for such exotic sounds because we need exotic instruments often. Arabian, Asian, indian, native America etc. i Hope u understand. U r amazing inventors. Cheers ❤❤

this edit can use in version ipad ?
@AudioModeling2 жыл бұрын
Yep. Almost everything can be done on iPad. Except for a few advanced parameters.

But you can download and import the preset in the description!

Wouldn't it be nice if audio modeling can just give us saved parameters set up for us to just upload into our own swam plug in . .

Trying to recreate this sound, following the tutorial, is a chance to explore various SWAM parameters and their effect. Loading a pre-cooked preset you skip this important learning process.

After all those clicks creativity gets lost..

Creativity = art of create, of building things. Indeed, preset selection is the opposite of creativity

I think this would have been a much better tutorial if it was concentrated on the sound of one, or two instruments. I found all the accompanying music to be distracting and not helpful in any way.

The music is the original music of the video that has generated the requests for the tutorial. We will release the Erhu tutorial soon with the same soundtrack. Also the instrument has been isolated when needed.
