Please please do more sketchbook demos!!! Using watercolor sketchbook as a learning tool and this was hugely helpful. Want to do hundreds of these as a learning process- a bit smaller and takes some of the "perfectionism" of using a larger piece away. Can really focus on techniques that way. Your work is amazing and you are a good teacher!

As we celebrate Deepavali (a string of deeyas- lamps) the Festival of Lights in India, it is so appropriate to paint a lantern. Wishing everyone a very happy Deepavali. A friend lives in Florida. It is otherwise A paradise with all those lovely fruits and palm trees and beaches except for the hurricanes. Thank you for another wonderful watercolour Wednesday.

You've breathed life into a simple object with your masterful use of line and wash. I expected the plastic card trick :-) to achieve the textured effect on the rocks contrasting thorny rock and rounded lantern, but anyway you added depth and engaging realism to the scene without it. This sketch has taught me a nice example about the importance of capturing the essence of a subject. Thank you!

I do bible art journaling and this gives me a great idea. Be the light in the world. 💡 Your instructions are so easy to follow. Thank you for the drawing techniques too. Very helpful. Normally I use Davinci eye app to trace. I think I need to try drawing like this more. Our friend Adela sketches a lot and her art is so recognizable. Hopefully she will post in the group. I do enjoy seeing all the paintings from your students. Each one is beautiful and unique even though they follow your tutorials. I really enjoy your videos and look forward to Wednesdays. I’m going to paint this one in my bible. Have a blessed day and much love to you and Margot. ❤

And, recently I researched the history of Payne's Gray!! What a fascinating history!! Thanks again for the great tutorial!! I'm about to embark on a watercolor of snow on the prairie at late dusk with all the prairie things you would expect - distant buildings, distant fences, tumbleweed against the fences, dots of lights in the distant, pine trees ( yes, not indigenous, but here) and finally an amazing orange, red, yellow, muted blue, and streaks of white full-sky prairie sunset!!! Yikes!! I hope I can do it!! I did a mockup with chalk-pastel pencils. Anyway, I'm going to give it a whirl!!! Your snow tutorials are so helpful!!!
