You have changed the game for me with this - THANK YOU! every other video was people importing their pre-made watercolor designs when all I wanted to do was learn to make my own, haha. Also - are you by chance using a trackpad or the Magic Mouse? I noticed you said you started lightly with the purple to create a soft blend & then you pressed harder, if not how do I do that with my mouse? haha

Hi Nicole! It's a standard pattern that comes with Photoshop. You will likely have to go the cog wheel from within the pattern drop down to load it. Hope that helps!

Hi Raquel! Within the panel that appears when you click on the brush tip in the control panel, once you click on the cog wheel, you can select "New Brush Group" to create a folder, then just drag brushes in or out, and you'll be all set! :)

Great video! do you know why i cant locate artist surfaces? i only have trees, grass and water.... :)
@kplicanic4 жыл бұрын
There should be an option for Legacy Patterns. You may have to click the cog wheel in the panel corner to find it. It seems that every time I update PS it has moved, but "artist surfaces" are part of the old collection, thus now called "Legacy Patterns." Good luck!

I don't think I have the pattern for the water brush. I only have trees water and grass. Any Advice?
@kplicanic2 жыл бұрын
Hi Veronica! It's there, you just have to add it to the pattern panel. To do so, choose Window>Patterns. From the Pattern Panel menu, choose "Legacy Patterns and More." You'll see the folder added to your list of patterns. The "Artist Surfaces" patterns are inside the Legacy Patterns and More > Legacy Patterns > Artist Surfaces. Once you have it in your Patterns panel, you'll be able to access those patterns from other places like the Layer Styles/Fx window. :) Hope that helps!

@kplicanic4 жыл бұрын
I assume you're talking about the watercolor paper texture? It's in the Legacy pattern folder. If you open the Pattern panel (Window>Patterns) and go to the panel menu, select Legacy Patterns and More. Within that folder, you'll see 2 more folders. The watercolor textures can be found in Legacy Patterns and More>Legacy Patterns>Artist Surfaces. Hope that helps! :) Thanks for watching!

HELP! (lol) I cant find the "Artist Surfaces" in the Pattern area. Is it something I have to download?
@kplicanic5 жыл бұрын
If you're using the current version of Photoshop CC, they moved all the ol' "legacy" patterns into a folder called LEGACY PATTERNS AND MORE. So from that same gear that I mention in the video, select the folder called LEGACY PATTERNS AND MORE, and inside you'll find 2019 PATTERNS and LEGACY PATTERNS. The Artist Surfaces collection is inside the LEGACY PATTERNS folder. :) Hope that helps!

@@kplicanic are there text presets from adobe to insert? Or would I need to create something like "bravo" from scratch?
@kplicanic4 жыл бұрын
@@bumblebeeb708 Good question! I can see how this could be confusing.... in this video I dragged and dropped a pre-made text bit from my Libraries panel. This is something I personally created just to use as an example in this video without having to walk through the process of creating it on-camera (in an effort to keep the tutorial focused on what it was intended to show). You can create your own text using the type tool and whatever font you choose. Does that make sense?

how can i do this in PS CS6??
@kplicanic5 жыл бұрын
Hi there! The process is the same in CS6, but you don't have the link to Kyle's brushes. There are tons of great brushes that come standard with CS6, though, so don't worry! To access them, click the same brush panel icon at the top of the screen (with the brush tool active), then click the gear icon to enter the panel menu, and choose "Load Brushes." I forget exactly how it displays them, but I think you can then choose from various default sets that come standard in Photoshop. You can also download and play with free brushes from www.brusheezy.com. Let me know if you have more questions, and thanks for watching!
