I was very happy to discover this type of crimp myself. I was always taught to use butt connectors but they never felt fully secure to me. I of course do the tug test on them all and they feel solid but I can use nearly all my strength on a good open crimp and it stays, I like that a lot better. Feels like the crimp will outlast me lol.

Good day eh!!! The open crimp is tricky for the reasons you have shown. It's handy to have the proper crimper for these terminals. Take care!!!

Yeah Mike, but they look so real good when done properly. I hope you are all good over there, and thank for dropping by.

Great video! Is the Wirefy an ok brand to use for these kind of connector? Is there a different or better one that you would recommend?

I find it very reliable and you can buy extra dies if needed. I revied it fully on my new channel here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/r6Xbdn1mhL-ah9E Thank you for watching

Hey is there a way I can take one of these off without damaging it, I have a speaker that has two of them and I need to get the wires out
@IrishChippy2 жыл бұрын
I am not sure what you mean. Do you wish to pull the spade or open the crimp itself off the wire. The latter would be near impossible to do without damaging the crimp.

@@IrishChippy Yeah that's what u meant, thanks anyways

Is there a reason you want to save the crimp? If it was of upmost importance, you probably could uncrimp it with a small knife on a bench.

@@IrishChippy Yeah I tried that and it didn't work, thanks for trying to help though man I appreciate it.
