I found this pattern/video by accident. All my beanie closings were pathetic. Your closings are sooo doggone good makes me feel like a professional. I made three beanies in a row just to use your method and it works every time. Thank You

This is a great beginner project. The instructions were very clear. I have watched and started a lot of projects and got stuck in the middle because of unclear instructions. This is the first one I was able to do from Start to finish. Great pattern! Thank you 😊

Like the other lady, I found this by accident, I needed a quick gift for tonight for a man , this was easy to follow and a quick pattern , it's very ADHD friendly ❤, there is never the dreaded moment of " trust the process " I wish I could show you the beautiful hat I made . Thank you so much . I didn't want to make a regular old beanie ❤. Again thank you 🙏

I just made the chunky hat pattern (your latest post) this morning with my coffee! So quick and well written. It was done before the kids got up!! This was my 1st hat, it finally got really cold here in PA, so I caved and decided to try a hat pattern. It fits perfectly! Thank you! 👍😁😉 (Getting ready to make your cardigan!)

That for you for working regular stitch at the end. No one ever does and I really dislike the look of the back loop stitch at the end. Like most self taught and thought I was doing it wrong

I love that you do the first and last stitch of the ribbing a regular sc..that does look better! I also love that you don’t have to evenly Spence stitches on the first round, I always struggle with that. Question- could I do the rounds in single crochet just for a tighter stitch?
@HookedOnHomemadeHappiness2 жыл бұрын
Hi! Yes, you can. I would go up a hook size because your hat may end up smaller than your ribbing though :)

Hey when you say the second one is it that we skip one next to it but the one after. Or do you count the one already in the hook?
@HookedOnHomemadeHappiness3 жыл бұрын
Hi! Are you talking about the starting chain? Then you skip the first chain (do not count the loop on the hook) and then single crochet into the next

is it normal for ribbing to curl? My edges are straight but the bottom keeps curling up as I'm working
@HookedOnHomemadeHappiness4 жыл бұрын
It might be a bit tight if it's curling. You won't be able to tell once it's sewn :)

I love this pattern. But I must be doing something wrong. By the 5th or 6th row of double crochet my hat gets smaller and smaller. I'm don't decrease until after the 12th row so I don't see how it starts out as an adult hat and turns into a baby hat 😂
@HookedOnHomemadeHappiness3 жыл бұрын
Hmm.. you're tension might be getting tighter?
@bba.by.marilyn Жыл бұрын
what are the measurements of this hat? How high does it measure before you start to decrease?
@alberlineee4 жыл бұрын
I followed your video almost to the tee but mine looks wonky!
@HookedOnHomemadeHappiness4 жыл бұрын
Uh oh! Where does it look wonky? With the sewing?
@alberlineee4 жыл бұрын
Hooked on Homemade Happiness it looked very large even though it fit perfectly. And then it suddenly got tight. I think it was my tension cause my second attempt looked much better
