So I know this was posted a while ago, but as you mentioned with the arms and legs on your Ricardio pillow, arms and legs can come out a little weird when stuffed. I make a lot of amigurumi and my suggestion would be to partially stuff like you did with the legs and use a pipe cleaner! It'll make his limbs bendable and add a little stiffness. With shorter limbs like I usually deal with I bend my pipe cleaners in half and twist the ends together. Since he's bigger with longer limbs I'd take 2 pipe cleaners and twist them together because I think just one wouldn't be enough. Hopefully this suggestion helps in the future!

This is a really good tutorial but I felt like I couldn't see alot of what you were doing and it wasn't thorough enough. Some people would think differently but this project I struggled with. I counted my stitches each row and I had exactly that number of stitches until I got to row 13 I had 99 stitches in row 12 and then when i did row thirteen I had five stitches to many. I un did all of them to rows and still came out with the same outcome twice. I'm now very fustrated and feel like I don't have the patience anymore. I double checked if I was decreasing four times and I was. Any advice I'm very confused.

If doing this in single crochet,then would you do your increase round,then maybe just sc next rnd with no incrs,then next rnd be increased rnd again would this work? Increasing on every other rnd?

When you're at like the rnd 9(+) when you dc all around, do you dc even on top of that little hole? Theres like 2 chains there from when you joined the two heart tops together, I thought not to at first because I figured that its 52 chs for each heart top so not dc on top of that hole would give you the 104 around but then i was about to finish rnd 10 and realized I had a bunch of little holes by that middle hole and when you showed your progress at that point it looked all clean without any holes. If someone could clear this up, that would be very much appreciated!

You want to keep your stitch count at 104 and not add stitches. If there is a hole, you can always use your yarn ends to sew them up, as they shouldn't be that big. Hope that helps!

In general, yes, absolutely! But sc stitches are shorter, so you worked the exact same number of stitches and rounds with sc, your heart will probably turn out a lot more squat and squished.

Bethany Molina I'm not sure I'd do that any time soon, since I have a queue of other projects I need to shoot, and I'd rather not repeat. But maybe some time closer to V-Day next year? It is also sort of my hope that posting the written pattern along with my videos will help people get more familiar with reading patterns. There are so many amazing patterns out there, and it would be a shame to miss out!

+Krafty Kashmere mmmmm that sounds like it would make your heart longer but not necessarily wider. You would also need to keep increasing more, which would then change the pattern when you have to decrease again at the top.

+Justyne Gandara Hi! There isn't really an easy formula for that with this project. I mean, in general, it would be fewer rounds and fewer stitches per round, but I don't have an exact break down. Sorry about that! You could always use a lighter weight yarn, but that will only get you so small :P

Hi! It is difficult for me to troubleshoot without any photos or anything. I can only guess that perhaps you are increasing too many stitches per round. Try to make sure you have the correct amount of stitches before beginning the next round. Hope that helps a little bit.
