I hate the jag she has at each round. For those of you who also hate it when starting first round just continue around (do not slip stitch into original crochet). Do rounds until size you want. For finishing just do 3 gradually smaller stitches. I think she is doing a 1/2DC here so do 2 SC and 1 slip stitch to finish. Much smoother flow on colors.

It is because she doesn't use first stich when she begin new row, and the last when finish row

+Sandy Love did you use the same type of yarn that I did? I would try to go down 1 hook size, or make the round slightly larger so that it isn't stretched very much
