FYI what you're calling a split single crochet is actually the waistcoat stitch. Fun pattern. Loved making these.

Yep! It has several names in the crochet world. I've seen large crochet companies use both terms :)

❤❤❤A HUGE thank you for this pattern with this yarn. I've just completed a foot with one extra increase round on the toe and these are dreamy. I have a foot condition and truly thank you from the bottom of my heart for such an easy adaptable pattern and very well explained. ❤❤❤ I just found your channel the other day and now I want to do your granny squares sweater. ❤😊

Tried today! My yarn is a bit smaller but I was able to adjust. Tomorrow is to finish the pair! Thank you! This was fun. Took about 3 hours. 😊

Enjoyed watching, watched twice and got lost around the heel part 2xs, (keeping notes) both times, lol . I'm persistent so I'll figure it out! Love the socks and will be making a few. Thank you

Afterthought heel. Interesting. Love your technique on dealing with holes. P.S. Ive been crocheting for 60 years and never heard of a Slip Single Crochet. 🤔 LOL I make up words too. 🤣

So delighted, to be a new subscriber. Super inspired to find your excellent crochet tutorials. Just watched your easy sock tutorial. Now I am inspired to make soft socks. I do love Wool Ease Yarn to make scarves and hats. Thank you so much for the easy to follow tutorial for Winter socks.

I made this but the socks came out huge with big holes, I would recommend sizing down hook to a 6mm and 5mm for ribbing. I worry they will be unwearable once washed. (The bulky yarn I used recommended a 8mm hook so not sure what has gone wrong)

For the ribbed cuff, the pattern on your website says to sl st all the way across the 12 ch but the video says sc blo across. I’m guessing this is a typo?

IF you want to keep trying your splits ? Use the hook part and turn it sideways find your spot with your fingers and pluck it in I’ve been doing this for thirty years so hopefully it makes sense They are great stitches BUT can be frustrating keep watching a person who slows down the stitch … separate video…and practice then it’s a wiz!! Yay crochet ❤ 🧶
