Hi Astrid (what a beautiful name! My kids and I are currently reading a book by the Swedish author Astrid Lindgren. She was my favorite author when I was a little girl, and now I'm happy that my children love her books too. I know, totally irrelevant, I just really like the name Astrid!) Thank you so much for your kind and encouraging comment! It gives me a lot of joy that I can share my crochet work with other women. And I think it's so incredible how crochet connects people from all around the world! Sending best wishes to Holland from California 🤗💕🕊

These rubbers are used mostly when doing cable designs and also as you said to stop the yarn from unraveling. Thank you again for another beautiful design
@OlgaPoltava3 жыл бұрын
I didn't know about using these rubbers for cable designes, thank you!
@userPs91victory3 жыл бұрын
@@OlgaPoltava it’s very easy. The cable needles come in every size but they don’t have any cap on them so as you knit 🧶 and pick up the stitches with them you would secure the yarn at each end of the needle with these rubbers using a total of 3 needles as a group. These cable needles are also great for soaks and mittens

Hi Amany, thank you so much for your comment (I translated it using the google translate). I'd like to try this as a shawl... I'm a beginner and have some ques. 1. When you make this you crochet from the width not the length correct? If so, 2. Would I just triple or quadruple the first row so it's 36" or 48" wide? 3. I'm assuming you can make it as long as you want just keep adding rows? Thank you 🙂
@OlgaPoltava4 жыл бұрын
1. Yes, it's worked along the width. 2. Really depends if you are using exactly the same yarn, hook, and also depends on your crochet tension. The best way to calculate the starting chain would be to make a swatch/sample and to measure it. Then based on that measurement you can estimate the starting chain for your desired width. 3. Yes, just keep crocheting until you reach your desired length. I hope this helps!

@OlgaPoltava Жыл бұрын
Yes, it is a for a beginner. But it is not for a novice if that's what you are. Just like with anything else in life, crochet takes dedication and practice. You can't simply pick up a hook and yarn and declare yourself a beginner crocheter. You'll actually have to put some effort and work into learning crochet stitches first. You can watch other of my video to get an idea what an advanced level crochet pattern is. For instance, take a look at this one: kzbin.info/www/bejne/hKHUdYeXaalqg6c

Hello. Just want to say I enjoy watching your video tutorials. Very easy to comprehend and follow. Currently doing a scarf based on your Even Moss Stitch scarf tutorial. Just ran out of yarn so I am switching to this one, using a different yarn color. May I know what is this stitch called? I mean I know it's a series of Trebles but what all together, what is it called? Because I see other patterns that are also called Lacy Stitch but using various different stitches. Thanks in advance for your answer. :)
