I made quite a few c2c afghans years ago! I only done one in strips and stitched each strip separately, after I got it done! I couldn’t wait to get it all done. I was ready to go to something else

Very nice video. I’ve never done panels for c2c before. But am also wondering how this would look if did block panels and linked them not just across but also on top of each other.

I have seen some creators do C2C blocks and then join them and it gives a neat effect as well!

I'm making a c2c blanket using Lions brand Mandala yarn, in the color way of Niffler. It's very colorful. I never thought about continuing on with the next panel. I ended off when the panel was the length I wanted. The next one I crochet I'll try it your way. Thank you

Can you make all your panels first and then join?
@craftinginthenight4 ай бұрын
Sure you could! Just keep in mind the center seam isn't going to match colors so if I were going to do this I would probably add a small contrasting border and then join. In fact, I have a tutorial in the works for something like this where you work up panels and then join. When in doubt though, try it on a smaller sample swatch first :D

Hi @48”…697 are so creative….i started one-off. these…and I have 4 sq done…7” done, cc sr…i’nm using Caron big cakes in ToffeeBrickle…9i’m a little not sure if I like it…do you ever have tha? I don’t know if the color runs are too long or what, but my blocks seem to be mostly one color…with a corner another color… i’m wondering if I don’t get the fact that I want. What would you do while I only have four blocks should I tear them out and choose another pattern for the ceiling? I know you don’t like to tell people what to do, but I’m kind of befuddled. Don’t want to put more work and find out it’s blah. Also, sometimes when you get a bunch of something put together, it’s marvelous Just some advice please? than

I haven't tried it with Caron big cakes but, for a longer color run, I would make the panels wider. If you are still in the corner I would at least try it until it straightens out some. Sometimes my corners weren't perfect it just depends where the stripe starts. If it has a longer color run you could also try a wider panel but, the blue one is in latte cakes and that has a longer color change than the cinnamon swirl and still came out good. You can see on that one the "chevrons" are a good bit wider than when I did the pattern with the cinnamon swirl. Making the panel wider will allow the color to change more quickly and result in "faster" color changes as you work up the project. I hope that helps, it's really up to you these are just some ideas :D

Thank you so much that is helpful. I don’t have very many squares done. I may frog them back to the increase stage and make them bigger. I think you’re right that will probably help me change color quicker ….thank you. !@@craftinginthenight
