Thank you for the tips brother. I personally prefer an angle grinder with a steel cutting wheel. When using one make sure not to cut all the way through as you don’t want to risk any twisting of the disk while running the tool

Thanks for the tips! The True-value store near us used to have a rebar cutter out in the yard. You just place the rebar in and press down the long lever and it snips it off, takes no time at all (human powered). Hardware stores don't seem to have things like that any more, probably too much liability.

Man, that would be so nice to have. You're probably right that it's a liability thing. Also, I think if they made it that easy to cut rebar, they wouldn't have the 10 ft only 10¢ more than the 4ft 😁

I haven't tried, but I believe it will snap before it bends... It's essentially compressed fiberglass and I think it would behave like a glass bar
