When i was in my early 20s, I used to get my hair cut like this all the time. It suits my thick wavy hair perfectly. Now that I’m older, I have tried repeatedly to get stylists to cut my hair like this and I ALWAYS end up with some stupid layered bob where all the weight is at the bottom and the face framing layers are muddied. I can’t figure out how I’m supposed to politely ask them to watch this video and cut my hair exactly like this without pissing them off and getting something completely the opposite. If it’s done right, my hair is so easy to style on my own. If it’s done poorly, I end up with no lift at the crown and a bunch of heavy hair at the bottom. You’d think stylists that have spent years learning how to cut hair would understand this cut. But I haven’t found one that knows how to do it in the last 10 years.

@@marlom.5081 I used two mirrors facing each other so I could see what I was doing. Always sitting straight and not crossing my legs. I section my hair following the video then cut at a angle. Also, the fact that my hair is wavy to curly allows for more fuck-up because it will blend anyway, so be careful if you have strait to wavy hair.
