However, the big turn occurred when Jack’s ego skyrocketed, and as you mentioned, he started doing the “how to train” videos, which he should not be doing now 😅 and people just got pissed that he started doing some weird collabs with people that have bad influence on him, etc.

Horrible video. This is a video of what *not* to do in a Deadlift. You ain't preventing injury you're exacerbating it. Your neck is literally like a turtle sticking out of its shell and looking up each time you lift. 1. Barbell need to be touching your shins. Bar should go on a straight vertical path (Your barbell is too far away from your shins that you're putting pressure on your shoulders and rounding your back) 2. No mention of activating/keeping tension on your lats so that your spine remains neutral. 3. No mention of taking the slack off the bar from the liftoff. Make a video when you actually mastered the deadlift, not when you're still learning and making newbie mistakes.

Bro. Where do i begin. Deadlift form begins from the ground up. There’s only a few cues that beginners such as yourself need. Let’s break this down. 1. Stand shoulder width apart, often a bit narrower will work best. Try with a bit of pointed out toes. 2. Make sure the bar is over the middle of the foot. 3. Bend the knees until the shins hit the bar (see why tip 2. is so important). 4. Make arms long, reach down, lift the bar. 5. Imagine a security guard is about to punch you in the stomach, tense up to protect from the punch while breathing down to your belly. This is how you brace. I never ever try to make the back straight in beginners by saying ”make your back straight”, due to that leading to overextension, most people don’t have the motor skills to make changes like that. If you focus on the setup as explained above a good back position will follow. Some people have more back flexion some have less and that is ok. I would advice you to narrow your stance a bit more, maybe point your toes out a bit. Basically follow the steps above. Train with lighter weights and stop maxing out so often, that way you can start to build some mass.
@helenking82975 ай бұрын
I always do my RDLs as if I'm closing a door with my ass and yes as if someone is punching me in the stomach. If your core is not tight then form falls to pieces. Squeeze the belly button and the ass. Also he never deviates his dead lifts No sumos or anything. I'm not giving advice to him but he needs to work on his core and drop them shoulders back. And yes he needs to rep a lot lighter. He should be pushing that 60kg out at a least 10 reps. Looked like he was struggling at 5

I'm a gym goer about 6'0 and 60KG just starting deadlifts for the first time. What weight do you think I go for without getting injured?
@antonpwr3 ай бұрын
@@bluerabitmusic1076 that really depends, there isn’t a definitive answer. But better start light, leave a few reps in the tank each set and slowly progress each week, don’t increase more than 5kg each week even if it’s light.. If you never done deadlifts maybe 40kg is a good start just to get the feel for it so you have a weight to easily progress from. See deadlift as a skill that you need to get proficient, the more proficient you get the stronger you get, so focus on execution and form rather than weight on the bar. Don’t go for maxes or weight that makes your form go to shit. Doing this will make you progress, i’ve done the journey myself and increased to 260kg/573lbs+ without really going for max attempts outside of competition. Don’t be afraid to put on weight, im 6’3 myself at 105kg, you can fill out frame a lot at 6’0, i would for sure aim at slowly going up to 90kg without cutting! Otherwise getting stronger won’t happen. If you want to get down your form follow my tips above and check my technique in my shorts, for people at 6’0 or above that is a good start to try to imitate. With time you will find a technique that fits your body.
@antonpwr3 ай бұрын
@@helenking8297 no reason really to deviate to sumo, you can for sure progress by hammering conventionals since you will get very proficient at it, build resilience for it thus you can handle more volume. It isn’t bad to do other forms, but if you want to get good at conventional dl’s, you need to do a lot of conventional dl’s since it is a skill that you need to practice a lot.

Good work, Jack. Everyone starts somewhere. Just please be careful with your spine on the deadlifts. Bending the back at all can be a big issue with these because of the amount you can load it. You do not want that weight going onto the spine and spinal cord. Pushing yourself is great. Using the belt is great. But don’t go lifting heavy on this if you need to compensate by pulling with your back from a flexed position.

Your back was rounded fully and shoulders forward, for it to count, you need chest up and shoulders back whole time and for safety and good progression always good form until youre strong. You like saying you have 100kg deadlift but really with actual form more like 80. You also didn't talk about bracing (which you dont know) which is essential, and pulling slack out of bar,good job working spine i guess.
