The stereo type for IT professionals is to be socially awkward or just rude, but the job requires an enormous amount of emotional intelligence to do well. Usually the customers who had the worst reputations ended up being good people with crap going on. Many ended up being my favorite customers to help.

Considering how he dealt with Rowan and the computer issue I'm not too surprised he can handle difficult customers so well. He doesn't even try to call Ben on his bs. Ooh, maybe Theo can handle the Karens if they ever make a return.

As is always the case this is a top notch skit from VLDL team, but can we talk for a moment about the ending of the allegory here? Ben's problem was loneliness that he manifested through the "broken" remote. Theo accurately addresses the real problem of loneliness which leads to the remote "working" and Ben calling his mom at the end. That's some really powerful writing underneath a comedy sketch! The writing team for this one truly outdid themselves. I'll take many more of these please.

Adam asked if he'd like to start the interaction over, and have a little bit of an argue, and Ben sheepishly said "yeah, could we?", was a strong hint that the character is looking for a bit of a way to connect with people.
