Supermodels and Celebrities lose their looks as they age. 'Time' renders everyone unattractive. So, when you perceive someone as beautiful, just remember that they won't always be that way. And since their 'looks' are a big part of their identity (most likely) then "aging" will be almost unbearable. Anyways, wouldn't you rather know that people like you for your personality and character rather than your looks?

Being ugly isn't a thought.. it's a fact. It's very easy to know if you're ugly or unattractive. If you're ugly, then your life will undoubtedly be a lot harder to live. It'll be harder to socialise and people will always "prefer" you less in terms of making friends, finding a partner, etc. The whole "it's inside that matters the most" is utter bullshit. People don't see your personality first, they see your looks. If you're hideous, no one will give you a chance. You don't need to see a TV advert or a magazine to base your view that you're ugly off of, it's quite easy to see. If you look hideous, you know it and there's absolutely nothing that can be done. Ugly and pretty exist, and they're both a definite and inevitable reality. The most an ugly person can do is just deal with it, hope someone gives them a chance and live their lives to the best of their ability. There is nothing that can be done about it, and it's better to accept it and move on rather than live in a delusional state of mind where you constantly reject that fact and try to convince yourself that you're not.. only to find out the hard way. This is coming from an ugly person themselves. It's easier to say all these nice things when you look attractive, but "pretty" people will never know the pain of looking like an utter disgrace.

Tbh appearance plays into nearly everything on this planet. You simply can't deny it because you'd be lying if you did. Us humans, we judge pretty much everything by its appearance at first sight. Even the world we live in. Is that flower nice? no...ill get that one. Is this dog cute? no this one's cuter. No one wants food that looks ugly at first, they go for the more attractive looking dish. Even if the less attractive one tastes better. Only the people who don't have a choice other than to eat the less attractive dish will get to know what that dish tastes like, all the more lucky people won't get to see that the ugly dish is ultimately better. If a girl/guy is ugly, only the other ugly people who don't really have a choice other than to give them a chance because they're not getting anywhere being rejected by attractive people, will see that this ugly girl/guy is actually an amazing person. Darkside Sider ur Right , even good looking people get rejected. The difference is most Times it’s based on the girls preference and not because he’s ugly. She may not like his hair, but she’ll still acknowledge he’s good looking just not her type. So he still retains confidence. Everytime I’ve been rejected, I asked the girl to be honest and she said I was ugly. Even more, the rejections happen at a much higher rate than a good looking guy. I’ve had 1 success with over 75 attempts throughout my life. Which may not seem a lot of attempts but you get burned out when you get rejected too much.

I was hoping for some breakthrough but you can't deny everyone judges everyone on their appearance and it has a massive effect on your self image and confidence. Those who are beautiful have far less anxieties and get accepted by people a lot more. Its the sad truth, and if 999 people think you're ugly and 1 thinks you aren't, you're probably ugly. Sure, you can distract yourself at times and forget how you look, but how do you expect those like myself who repulse people by the very sight of their face to not still feel lonely. Eventually they will realize that the way they look is the cause for their loneliness, and they will (rightfully) act to change it. There are people who are so ugly though that normal means cannot change it however. I am one of those unfortunate few, and cannot afford the tens of thousands of dollars to change it at least for several years. We're social creatures, and when your too ugly for socialize, there's not much hope for permanent happiness. Temporary distractions perhaps, but I know I'll still end up longing for the peace of death.

Cold truth shower. People are attracted to a face which has nice symmetries, not necessarily a perfect one but a face without features that stand out too much such a big, curvy nose or big pointy ears. It is true that self confidence, intelligence and other attributes can make you appear prettier in the eyes of the person you are trying to impress, but takes way more effort and it's the hardest thing to do if you are unattractive, since it's most likely accompanied with low self esteem. I strongly believe that if there is anything you can do to improve your looks (train at the gym, be mindful of your hygiene and fix your hair before you go out) you have to do it first and if you still don't get results you can complain. But in the end a pretty face gives you the power to choose from a plethora of dating partners without worrying you won't find another whilst being ugly ,it's a road with rejection written all over it. @Noah Elkrief

+Uso Indevido I just wanted to say to you that yes it sucks to live in a world where opinions on appearances are largely created by what culture and media and simultaneously overly emphasized in the grand scheme of things versus things that are far more important like who you are as a person. It sucks...BUT there's a positive side to this. One day you will meet someone who loves you for who you are and believe it or not finds you attractive no matter how "ugly" you think you are. Instead of meeting and partnering up with loads of ppl who chose you solely for your appearance matching society's standard for good looks, you have much higher likelihood of meeting perhaps less ppl, but higher quality ppl at the same time. Ppl who admire you genuinely for who you are as a whole. Isn't that better than having ppl choose you solely on your appearance? I would venture to guess that thinking this way would make you feel socially awkward and uncomfortable or to associate having less friends with appearance, but perhaps it is the preoccupation with appearance consuming you that makes it harder to make friends. I hope you can take away something from this video or what I've said. Being "good-looking" has its disadvantages too. He mentioned some: not knowing if you were chosen for your skill at work for promotion or simply for looks, not knowing if your partner is in it just to "get some" or if they like all of YOU to name a few. That can be wearing on a person as well, not knowing who you can trust or depend on, not being able to feel secure in your talents or achievements actually being behind any praise you receive... It all boils down to this: Where will you place emphasis? If you place emphasis on looks you will likely find like-minded individuals whereas if you focus on goals and talents like-minded ppl will be drawn to you. This is coming from someone who has been considered pretty, hot, whatever by others all the while feeling ugly to herself. Good luck. Sorry for writing a book.

After watching the video and reading some of the comments I wanted to express my thoughts. Feeling unattractive is hell. It negative affects every aspect of your life. It is hard for me to even looking in the mirror and I have even contemplated suicide around my look. It affect every aspect of my life. that is a good way to think. Btw, judging by your profile picture, you're not hideous or even ugly. You just seem slightly unnatractive because of the way you took your picture. If you smiled and grew out your hair and got a haircut similiar to the guy in the video, you would be average. Actually maybe even above average or handsome if you grommed yourself well and maybe lost some weight? I say this because I can't tell if you have a chiseled chin or are slightly overweight because of the beard and the photo really. But a more defined jaw may suit you well, which can be achieved with exercise. It even seems as though your eyes are a lighter shade, like light blue, which is a bonus, so your facial features seem average or above average to me. Now, me on the other hand, I am so hideous, I look deformed. So don't be too hard on yourself. Be lucky you aren't me lol :)

The problem is that there is such a thing as universal beauty where the majority of people of all cultures regard something as beautiful and ugly. Noah, you would be considered beautiful by the majority people all over, caucasians, asians, blacks, south asians, etc. I'm sure there are people who wouldn't, but they are the minority and perhaps a small percentage. We are not all that fortunate. My insecurity about my appearance contributes to my feelings of worthlessness, "not beautiful not valuable, not good enough." which is messed up I know, but rejection by people I am attracted to is part of this problem.

I just want a guy that I find attractive to find me attractive back. haven't found that one yet. Its fine ill just be single forever because im shallow. I've tried being with a good guy I didn't find attractive. Didn't go well at all.

I was in denial about being ugly for a long time, when I finally came to terms with the fact I’m just not a attractive person it was like a weight lifted off my shoulders, I was always trying to dress a certain way or do my hair to be good looking but it was just a waist of time I always ended up just still being ugly, just ugly in a nice shirt...but now that iv accepted it it’s nice to just be able to say whatever, plus when your ugly you get to see people true colors since nobody try’s to impress a ugly person, so In that sense it’s kind of a gift , the curse is when you meet a beautiful girl and just know that nothing will ever happen...just be happy with who you are

I think you need to see your own beauty and own it. People have told me that I was ugly. I like my looks. I don't think I'm Beautiful but, I find myself satisfactory.

I know for a fact I’m ugly and my least favorite thing ever is when people try to act like I look good because I know it’s just out of pity at this point I would rather have them just call me ugly

This whole comment section makes me feel kinda sad. I wish so many wouldn't beat themselves up so. Even the most attractive people can be the most ugliest creatures ever.
