The thing that makes me homesick is that some people are really rude to me and I'm sick of it and it makes me want to leave

I am 5 days away from going boarding, and it's not just that, it's location is 2days from my home... The locality, people, all are different... I always suffered from homesickness since I was a kid, it's not easy to stay away from home... Specially when ur parents give such a care that no one would and u start to miss that food u get, the hug before going to school, family events... Even though I know living in a boarding school is temporary it still leave me crying under the blanket every night...

I applied to some boarding schools about 2 hours away from my home, and am waiting for any news about acceptance. But, I am worried that if I go, I will loose all of the friends that I currently have. How can I keep all of my friendships if I will barely see them?

i don't go to boarding school, but i moved to the other side of the world so i think i might be able to give you some tips.... Tip 1: INTERNET! Snapchat,WhatsApp and Skype are like the best ways to stay in touch. Like seriously i share EVERYTHING with a friend that lives faaaar away:) Tip 2: VISIT THEM! When you come Home make sure to spend loads of time with all of your friends, because skyping isnt the same as actually meeting up with someone. And also, you will probably find that it will be a little hard to stay in touch but they still love you no matter how far away you are. When i left my friend gave me a framed picture of us that said "friends are like stars. you cant always see them, but they are always there" i hope this helps, probably doesnt. sorry and good luck with boarding school

My parents are forcing me to go to a Boarding school, I’m from the uk and I’m 13. There making me go to one in Colorado which is all the way on the the other side of the earth. I’m really scared I’ll get homesick and it’s not like they could just drive up or something or even visit on weekends because they need to book a flight and everything. If anyone whose gone or going to boarding school from a different country please tell me what you did to overcome home sickness. Thanks

HAHA Guys I'm moving to a Boarding school in Pakistan and it's SO SO SO GOOD. I have friends that are sons and daughters of american ambassadors and stuff. Special people go to boarding school. And 99% chance you'll be successful in the future. WORK HARD AND IT'LL PAY OFF PEACE YA'LL
