Actually, Michael Brown looks bad just by talking too much and revealing his beliefs about blatant false teachers. He interrupted Jim Osman multiple times and wouldn't even let him speak. And Jim Osman has plenty of Biblical support against Hinn, Roth, and so many others from verses like Romans 16:17-18, 1 Timothy 6:3-5, 2 Timothy 4:3-4, 2 Peter 2, and the whole epistle of Jude. In addition, the warning in Deuteronomy 18:20-22 covers all of the false prophecies of this people and 1 Corinthians 14 demonstrates how they all violate the gift of tongues multiple ways. It is actually Brown who has no discernment. In addition, Brown thinks you can leave your salvation despite what Jesus says in John 10:27-29. Trust me, Michael Brown makes himself look bad when you check the scriptures (Acts 17:11) and compare them to what he says about the people he defends.

I actually enjoy watching some of Roth's programs, especially the afterlife testimonies. I wouldn't call him a huckster though. Osman used inflammatory words there. As for Hinn, when he was a guest at Billy Joe Daugherty's Bible conference in Tulsa in 1997 or 1996 on TBN, I vividly remember seeing a demon with a massive face appearing in my living room that night laughing at me. It looked like the Joker from Batman. That was when I gave up on Hinn. Before then I was a Benny Hinn junkie. Ate and breathed anything Benny Hinn back then. Still a Charismatic though

That certainly has been the case where Mike Bickle, founder of International House of Prayer, is concerned. Where was Brown's own discernment? Everything he got on social media and warned others not to do,,,prejudge, post unnecessarily, Brown did, and, now he's having to backpedal it all. Given his initial position on Bickle, it led people to have false confidence in Mike Bickle's Innocence and actually hindered the need for a true independent investigation, and full confession from Bickle.

The thing about Dr Brown is, if you listen close you will notice he rarely brings up details about false teachers content or talks specifically about something they teach. He always brings up how NICE they are around him. How can anyone claim authority to "deepen discernment" while completely lacking personal discernment? Dr. Brown's consistent theme is "I know them personally and I know they are genuine" but in it displays his own lack of discernment about them. "Sid genuinely believes in what he promotes" is self-condemning, everyone genuinely believes in what they choose to believe in, be it the gospel of Christ or something else. This is in-and-of itself an example of Dr. Brown's lack of spiritual discernment, spiritual discipline, and spiritual maturity. May God pour out His grace upon Dr Brown and those who are like-minded, that they may come into repentance and truth and that the Lord may call them His "good and faithful servants".

Jim's discernment is...well almost supernatural. He can see right into the enemies soul and discern that they don't actually have the seal of the Holy Spirit. Accusations, judgements and possible condemnations. That is what I get when I listen to this caller. A lot of times we justify what we say calling them "right" judgements. I think that if we first spent time, with the Holy Spirit's help, examining ourselves and calling out our own errors that we will spend a lot less time doing so with others. To be fair, there is a lot of wacky stuff out there in Christian circles, but I don't think we need to be so harsh and cruel. Love should and must guide the way. Not only must we do so by correcting others who are in error, but to so in a loving way. That is what love demands of us. Kudos to Dr. Michael Brown for answering Pastor Jim Osman in a very mature and respectful way.

Also, calling someone a false teacher isn’t actively damning someone to hell. Only God does that. Any false teacher that is living still has time to repent.
