Im level 8 in tactician... unable to beat BOTH rounds. Round 1 was fairly easy but after that son of a whore came from the pitt and started spawning those little shits, i just cant beat all of them AND sustain damage to that thing! Ive reloaded at least 22 times. The worst thing is: in that round space you cant cure. Theres only a little space where you may cure one of two of your alies, BUT, by the time they get there, either the thing kills them or your healer is busy trying to hold of that spawn bullshit.

Some tips that work for me (level 9, tactician): Have casters do area of effect spells like Wall of Fire or Cloud of Blades (upcast). He can't move out of them and will take damage every round. Bonus if you can then cast Sanctuary on one of the casters and then have them sit back healing (Wizards can cast Haste, or use potions + parasite powers) while their AoE does the damage. Also, before you go in to the fight, have your casters do all of their summons (Animate Dead, Summon Minor Elemental, Summon Elemental), THEN use the Restoration Pod to get all your spell slots back. Going in with a bunch of summons is super handy because he'll waste turns hitting them (avoiding concentration checks). It was tough, and I lost a character before realizing he was blocking healing, but I still won on my first try (barely)!

Yeah... I killed the Nightsong. It makes this fight so much harder. I beat em, but Mynthara got pushed into the abyss. So trying again without losing anyone.

This happened to me, lol. Defeated that Balthazar guy, but only person left alive was Shadowheart. Got into the conversation with Nightsong chick and was like, okay, going to try and turn a corner here with Shadowheart and save this person and Shadowheart. We'll nope, didn't even get a chance. Shadowheart just up and generated the Shar spear and stabbed her....lol. I was mouth agape being like, well shit okay then. Guess Shadowheart is just going pure Shar in this play through.

my favorite move (now at level 8 it is immense damage)...if you level up the lighting spell with gale it is just a joy to watch all enemies getting killed in one line - except the high boss for him you need to repeat it....

Im lvl 7 with a somewhat similar strategy just with only Gale being able to cast Fireball. Everyone else has good stats to do what I need them to do, and I hope rng will be on my side.

There are also fireball scrolls; the merchant tali sells a staff that has fireball. Also, nobody says you can’t multi class the characters like shadowheart, asterion etc into other classes, my shadowheart is Cleric/sorcerer.

Man, I find Wyll and Gale to be absolutely useless yet for some reason I brought them both down with me. All I can get in is 2-3 attacks with my main character barbarian, some heals with my Shadowheart and Wyll and Gale are being useless as ever with their single actions that hardly do anything, lol. Have to go way back and reload I guess. edit: my tough fights are usually won with my main character, lae'zel and karlach since they can do multiple attacks each turn. shadowheart is there just to heal and do guiding light and the sunbeam thing from the tears of lathander weapon

Try putting an Alchemist fire into a backpack along with a barrel or three of smokepowder/ firewine/ runepowder. Have your strongest character throw it at the BBEG at max range for a sachel charge that will give your graphics card siezures. Mage hands can throw heal potions at the party, poisons and Alch. fire at the enemies. Just drop the items to be thrown ..Yeet your way to Victory !

The only thing it does I won’t spoil is locks you depending on how many you use could lock you into a somewhat bad ending and most companions disapprove so unless your trying to go for as good of an ending as you can for the most part I would use them because I haven’t use them but I believe you can still get a good ending if you use them so really all they do is have an affect on the story but if you just want to have an easier time beating the game I would probably use them I’m pretty new to so if anyone wants to correct me or add to this I would appreciate it 😊

I tried to do this on an Evil Dark Urge Playthrough and couldn’t do it 😭 So I reloaded, hopefully having Nightsong there and No Isobel will make it easier. I did try using Invisibility and putting explosives around Thorm to make it easier

I succeedes when I let my casters stay back and damage him and my fighter use misty step and so forth to defeat the necromites on the sides. Killing most small critters before he transforms to the apostle.

Diluted oil of sharpness removes non-magical resistances, helps a lot on the melee build I’ve been using against him. Other than that, throw water on him to negate his cold resistance and use lightning attacks

there is , this fight is not that hard - free Nightsong - and stay away from the platform (as you can't heal) and bomb him to Oblivion. Or use only the crossbows and spells... - but you probably already looked for tips in the Internet, - there is many good taktic to be found...

You have to read the letter from Thorm’s wife in his room at moonrise, then using that you need to pass a persuasion check in the first thorm fight to get him to surrender momentarily then you should have the next persuasion check just before the myrkul fight

nightsong is tied up towards the back right side (behind where the mind flayer enemy is) you can use misty step or just have someone dash over to where she is and release her. she's immortal so she can't die and she'll get downed a million times in the fight but she revives every time she's downed so don't waste too much healing on her
