Ran out of patience fighting this guy. I wanted him in the dirt. His last stage i couldn't get past. So I maxed out pluck of many. Maxed out attack stat as Much as I could. Took gore-eye daiost. Steadfast transformation just for the defense while transformed to whittle him away at the end. In true souls fashion (i know it's not a souls game) prior to the battle i took enhanced tiger subduing, loong aura amplification and evil repelling, proc pluck of many, immobilized proc spirit, and then smacked the ever living crap out of him. He didn't even have a chance to do anything Fight was over in a minute flat.

Pro Tip! When he gets to about one third health left, he will know your moves and adjust. My charging 3 focus heavy thrust would be always dodged if I continued to hit him right when it charged. So I either started only doing 2 focus charge heavy if he was close enough, or do a 3 focus charge heavy but "only" let it loose when he got close and started his attack animation. Then it was to late for him to dodge, "turn into smoke thing he does" and it always hits. You got this!

This was very helpful. I noticed that when charging up focus points I waited until he walked up closer to me and began his attack animation. From what I noticed there’s 2 different attacks he will do. One is a quick strick that you will have to let go of the charge based off reaction. The second animation is the one you want. He will begin to charge an attack and blue lighting will begin to emit from him. Once I saw the light night I released my thrust level 3 and immediately dodged back a couple times. He will not attack you after that and will go back to his walking up to you path. I did this and it worked most times. Thanks for the help

This definitely helped for me be patient in the beginning en use thrust stand. At one point he will block your thrust stand attack then use weavers needle. Use your pluck of many hit him as much as you can en then finish it of with your transformation. I used ebon flow. And if he goes flying use youre cloud step.

For phase 1 your strategy is the best but for the second 1 I had to change it slightly. I saved red tides for when the bastard started flying... The key is to not stand to close and not to far away from him after your thrust attack

That’s the strategy I used. In the opening you can have one free 3-focus smash attack. Just approach him slowly - do not get too close. And release as soon as he starts moving. Destined one jumps in the air and the Loong’s attack misses. But due to lock-on the smash attack connects. Then switch to thrust stance.

This strategy works for the first 50% of the boss’s healthbar, after that not so much. I would use these thrust stabs until he’s at 50%, then use pluck of many and your transformation (i used Umbral Abyss) and spam heavy attacks. You should have him to 35% after those both expire, at which point start using the charged pillar heavy in lieu of thrust until you get him to about 20% Then for the remainder use charged smash heavy (you want to release as far from him as possible to give him little time to react). You want to save all your mana outside of the one pluck use for cloud step for when he does that ridiculous air shit - don’t even try to dodge that one out. Besides that you WILL have to learn how to dodge his combos because there’s just no way to dance the whole fight with him doing his passive menacing slow walk.

I used this strategy, give it a try and let me know: 1. Activate Focus Point Glitch 2. While facing Yellow Loong, don't spam your attack on him. Instead, keep a decent distance to keep track of his movesets. 3. Once your focus bars are full, hit him with full force and then retreat to maintain the distance. I believe Yellow Loong tends to be crazier when we impulsively spam the light attack combos, so don't do that unless you immobilize him.

Your guide helps me through phase 1, but phase 2 he just dodges the thrust heavy attacks. I just change back to smash stand and beat him with full spell (after 2 hours). After then I realise you releasing heavy attack right at the moment he start to attack. Gonna try you way again in NG+.

Yes! The combos are so loong that I loose track of the dodging rhythm. Start dodging into the wall and bushes and the camera angles disorientate me. His auto-dodging (reflecting off the Smash Stance see-thru and phasing into lightning when I thrust) in Phase 2 are cheats!!!

I saw a couple of videos with similar strategy like this, but there seems to be some level of randomness in his moves - because for me, this strategy only worked less than half of the way. He would always stop walking around and kept charging me... then, fly up and do those leap charges 😂 Eventually, I had to learn all his moves in order to dodge the heavy attacks and combine several strategies in order to win.
